Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 16:11
You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Jesus has created a ‘path of life’ for every believer. It is a path, or a road that goes through the wilderness, through the dense forest, through the desert, through huge blazing fires, around the steep cliffs in life, and then, the road becomes a bridge to take you safely over the deep waters. His path of life does not avoid harsh territories, it gives safe passage ‘through’ them.
The good news is that, not only did Jesus create a path of life for you and me, He is committed to ‘showing’ you the path of life. He shows up through the leading of the Spirit, through the Word, through His small still voice, through others and through any and all means… as you are facing your day today, Jesus is directing you onto a safe, blessed path of abundance, miracles and joy.
For Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego the path of life took them through the fire, and they did not burn, nor did their clothes smell like fire… for Daniel, his path of life took him through the lion’s den, but he was not bitten, consumed or harmed in any way… for Moses, his path of life took him through the sea, but he did not drown, or even get wet.
You will see many dangers and you will witness calamity on your path, but it will not harm you… though a thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, NOTHING shall by any means harm you… as long as you stay on the path that Jesus has made for you.
Isaiah 43:19 says, “Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
The enemy will send temptation to lure you off of your path of life… don’t take the bait! Stay on your path today and be blessed, in Jesus Name!
