Today’s New Covenant nugget is from 1 Corinthians 11:28-30

But let a man examine himself (think about what he is doing as he partakes), and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, (allows sickness and death to destroy his body) not discerning the Lord’s body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many are dead.

Many read this and do not partake of communion out of fear. The devil hates believers to partake of communion because as they do, they are enacting the power of the New Covenant upon themselves and receiving supernatural, healing, miracle medicine from the Lord.

The context of this scripture is that people were gathering, feasting and getting drunk, all in the name of the Lord, calling it holy communion… this is a teaching from Paul on what communion is really all about so that they could receive the benefits and blessings of the New Covenant.

When a believer eats and drinks without ‘discerning’ what he or she is doing, they do so unworthily, because they are only eating and drinking to satisfy their flesh, or they may simply be doing it religiously, or ritualistically and not doing so in faith to receive from the Lord. Every believer is worthy because they are in Christ… the ‘unworthy’ aspect is not the person, but the ‘manner’ of partaking… doing something in faith receives from the Lord, and without faith, let not such a person think that he will receive ‘anything’ from the Lord (James 1:7)

What Paul the apostle is saying is, “If you do not ‘discern’ and get a revelation about what Jesus did on the cross… if you do not ‘discern’ that healing and divine health is in the New Covenant… if you do not ‘discern’ that partaking of holy communion is partaking of the New Covenant… if you do not ‘discern’ that healing and health and deliverance from sickness is there for you to receive during communion, and if you do not use your faith and RECEIVE healing, health and deliverance from sickness, during communion, even though healing is provided in the New Covenant, THEN you will remain sick and you will end up dying prematurely.”

Paul was not warning people against communion, he was urging them to take advantage of communion and get healed and live in divine health!

Partaking ‘worthily’ is ‘recognizing’ that you are partaking of the New Covenant… partaking ‘worthily’ is partaking in faith and receiving all of the blessings and benefits of the New Covenant, and partaking ‘worthily’ is recognizing that Jesus’ body was broken so that our bodies could be made whole, and that His blood was shed to make us righteous in Him, to restore favor with the Father and to destroy every work of the devil over our lives. As a born-again believer you are worthy, and partaking in faith, ‘discerning’ the Lord’s body makes ‘the way’ you are partaking worthy!

Jesus made holy communion available to us to receive everything that He provided for us in the New Covenant… healing, divine health, provision, prosperity, protection, deliverance, the gifts of the Spirit, the dünämēs miracle working power of God, our youth renewed on wings of eagles, supernatural ability and every blessing and promise to us in our New Covenant in Christ.

Partaking of holy communion by grace, through faith means that you do not have to go through this life sick, in pain, defeated, helpless, hopeless, depressed, poor and in need… you get to be healthy, wealthy, wise and blessed, living the abundant life!

Partake of holy communion today and receive God’s best, in Jesus Name!

in His amazing love, Nick!
