Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 8:4-6 (AMP)

What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put ALL things under his feet.

The Passion Translation says, “Why would You bother with puny, mortal man or care about human beings? Yet what honor You have given to men, created only a little lower than Elohim, crowned with glory and magnificence. You have delegated to them rulership over ALL You have made, with EVERYTHING under their authority, placing earth itself under the feet of Your image-bearers.”

Most Christians either do not really believe Psalm 8:6-8, or they do not have a revelation on it… if they did, they would be doing great exploits. Think about it, Jesus made you in His image, then He placed you over everything else that He made. He made you to be of a higher rank than everything else that He made and only a little lower than God.

Some translations wrongly say that He made mankind a little lower than the angels… the Hebrew word is Elohim… the same word used in Genesis 1:1… “in the beginning God (Elohim) created the heavens and the earth.” Translators could not wrap their minds around the fact that Jesus made us of a higher rank than angels and just lower than God, so they wrongly translated the word ‘Elohim’ as ‘angels’.

You were made to be a king and a priest and to reign in this life with Jesus… “Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over THE KINGS OF THE EARTH. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, AND HAS MADE US kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation 1:5-6)

This passage calls us as believers, ‘the kings of the earth’. Get the revelation, you are a king, reigning in grace and power over all the earth, in Jesus Name! You are a king and a priest! You have been placed over ALL the work of Jesus’ hands, and have been given authority over ALL the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19)

I AM CONVINCED MOST BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS WITH PEOPLE ARE LINKED TO LOW SELF-WORTH

When people do not recognize who God made them to be, or when the devil deceives them to believe that they are worthless, then they embrace and accept all of the things that he puts on them.

THE DEVIL’S WORST NIGHTMARE IS FOR YOU TO DISCOVER WHO YOU ARE!

The day that you discover who you are in Christ will be the last day that you will ever be subject to what the devil tries to put on you.

PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE UNDESERVING JUNK CAN NEVER RISE TO THE PLACE OF A KING AND A PRIEST IN CHRIST.

A LOW SELF IMAGE EITHER LEADS TO AN ATTITUDE OF INFLATED PRIDE TO COVER THE PERSON’S FLAWS, OR A DEPRESSED, DEJECTED CRUSHED ATTITUDE.

FRUITS OF A LOW, CRUSHED SELF IMAGE…

These are just some of the fruits of a person who does not have a revelation of who God made them to be and what God made them to do… anger, frustration, pride, addiction, substance abuse, lust, obesity, eating disorders, depression, an undisciplined lifestyle, unforgiveness, envy, strife, divorce, remaining uneducated, unstable, entitlement attitude, fearful, skeptical, judgmental, poor health, poverty and more…

PREACHERS WHO PREACH ABOUT THE SIGNIFICANCE OF MAN ARE OFTEN CRITICIZED OF PREACHING A HUMANISTIC, “ALL ABOUT ME” GOSPEL.

SEEING YOURSELF AS YOU ARE IN CHRIST IS NOT A HUMANISTIC, MAN EXALTING GOSPEL, IT EXALTS GOD AND THE POWER OF GOD TO SAVE AND TO TRANSFORM A SINFUL LOST CREATURE INTO A SON OF GOD AND A KING AND PRIEST IN CHRIST! HUMANISM IS THE COUNTERFEIT OF THIS SCRIPTURAL REALITY!

WHEN YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, VALUE WHO YOU ARE AND LOVE WHO YOU ARE YOU WILL BEAR THESE FRUITS…

You will be even tempered, humble, peaceful, full of faith, joyful, optimistic, mercy-hearted, forgiving, full of grace, others-minded, believing the best, stable, healthy and fit, productive, inspired, excited, wealthy, able to receive, able to walk in authority, and much more….

Psalm 139:13-18 (TPT) says, “You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb. I thank You, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! (I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.) Everything You do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly You know me, Lord! You even formed every bone in my body when You created me in the secret place; carefully, skillfully You shaped me from nothing to something. You saw who You created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days You planned for me were already recorded in Your book. Every single moment You are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that You cherish me constantly in Your every thought! O God, Your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore!”

Get the revelation… ‘you were fearfully and wonderfully made by design! You are marvelously breathtaking!’ Jesus made you by design and placed greatness in your DNA. He designed you to have dominion over ALL the work of His hands!

BOTTOM LINE, YOU CANNOT BE WHO GOD MADE YOU TO BE UNTIL YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE IN HIM.

Romans 12:2 says, “’Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove [give evidence by demonstrating] the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

The Passion Translation says, “Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.”

When your mind is renewed by the Spirit through the Word you will see differently, talk differently and walk differently. When your mind is renewed and you understand and get a revelation on who you are… who Jesus has made you to be, what you have been given and what you are called to do, you will demonstrate the perfect will of God!

CONFESSION

“I am fearfully and wonderfully made!

I can do all things through Christ.

I am a child of God and created just a little lower than God.

I have been given dominion over all of the work of His hands.

I have been given power over all of the work of the enemy, in Jesus Name!

I will rise up and take my place as a king and a priest in Christ.

Father, I receive Your abundance of grace and by Your grace, I reign in this life through Christ!

I will step out in faith and take my place as a child of God and as a king and a priest in Christ, in Jesus Name!”

In His amazing love, Nick
