Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 27:4 (TPT)
Here’s the one thing I crave from Yahweh, the one thing I seek above all else: I want to live with Him every moment in His house, beholding the marvelous beauty of Yahweh, filled with awe delighting in His glory and grace. I want to contemplate in His temple.
The more that you know the Father, the greater transformation there will be in your life! When we used to run Teen Challenge, one of the courses that we taught was, “The Character of God”. As the students got a new revelation on who the Father really was, their lives were transformed.
MOST IMAGES DEPICT THE FATHER AS A, GRUMPY, ANGRY, OLD MAN.
INSTEAD, THE FATHER IS YOUTHFUL LOOKING, HANDSOME BEYOND WORDS, LOVING, KIND, POWERFUL, AND FULL OF JOY.
Psalm 27:4 (TPT) says, “Here’s the one thing I crave from Yahweh, the one thing I seek above all else: I want to live with Him every moment in His house, beholding the marvelous beauty of Yahweh, filled with awe delighting in His glory and grace. I want to contemplate in His temple.”
THE FATHER IS BEAUTIFUL, AND HIS SPLENDOR WILL LEAVE YOU IN AWE!
JESUS IS EXACTLY LIKE HIS FATHER.
Jesus said in John 14:7, “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” Then Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” (John 14:7-9)
JESUS WAS KNOWN FOR HIS JOY, THE GOOD NEWS THAT HE PROCLAIMED AND FOR THE ANOINTING ON HIS LIFE THAT WOULD BRING HEALING, MIRACLES AND BLESSING.
The Heavenly is exactly the same! He is the epitome of love, grace, mercy, Joy and strength!
James 1:17 says, ”Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
1. GOD IS LIGHT AND THE FATHER OF ALL THAT IS LIGHT… THERE IS NO DARKNESS IN HIM – HE IS NOT YIN AND YANG
2. EVERY GIFT FROM FATHER GOD IS GOOD AND PERFECT. EVERY GOOD AND PERFECT THING IS FROM THE FATHER. IF IT IS NOT GOOD AND PERFECT, IT IS NOT FROM GOD.
3. THERE IS NO SHADINESS IN THE FATHER AND HE DOES NOT TURN… EVERYTHING THAT HE IS, EVERYTHING THAT HE DOES AND EVERYTHING THAT HE GIVES IS ALWAYS GOOD AND PERFECT. THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE!
James 1:17-18 (TPT) says, “So, my very dear friends, don’t get thrown off course. Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light. There is nothing deceitful in God, nothing two-faced, nothing fickle. He brought us to life using the true Word, showing us off as the crown of all His creatures.”
Romans 8:29-32… “For whom He [The Father] foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
The Father did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, now shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”
JESUS WAS EXACTLY LIKE THE FATHER
NOW, THE FATHER HAS PREDESTINED YOU AS A BELIEVER TO BE TRANSFORMED INTO THE IMAGE OF JESUS BY THE POWER AND GLORY OF GOD.
THE FATHER HAS FREELY GIVEN YOU ALL THINGS TO LIVE AND TO OPERATE LIKE HIM AS HIS CHILDREN.
TRANSFORMED TO WALK IN HIS LOVE, GRACE, JOY, PEACE, FAITH AND HIS POWER.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18… “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
AS YOU SPEND TIME IN THE GLORY OF THE LORD
AS YOU BEHOLD HIS GLORY, YOU WILL BE TRANSFORMED INTO HIS IMAGE.
