Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Matthew 11:12 (TPT)

From the moment John stepped onto the scene until now, the realm of heaven’s kingdom is bursting forth, and passionate people have taken hold of its power.

Fellow believers and loved ones, we need to rise up and be passionate, not passive – we need to take our place, get stirred up and passionately engage ourselves in what we are called to do. The enemy wants us to be passive… he fears passionate believers that take hold of God’s power and run with it!

I am not talking about mere emotional passion, I am talking about passionate living, passionate ministry, and passionate pursuit of God’s best – many talk about meaningless things with much passion, argue about futile things with passion and engage passionately on social media about… ‘which is more dangerous, a flea, or a nat’… but sadly, they lack passion when it comes to what really matters. Unfortunately, when it comes to actually doing something that actually requires passion, many believers are passive. People are going to hell by the millions, sickness, disease and viral pandemics are spreading like wildfire and the world is without hope, and yet much of the church is totally without passion, even though we have the power to make a real difference, heal the sick, preach truth and give hope and help to the hopeless, in Jesus Name!

Few things get me stirred up more than passive Christians… they sit and yawn in the middle of a worship service while the anointing is being poured out… they are there one Sunday, ‘spectating’, not participating, and then MIA the next… They energetically participate on social media, play video games with passion, they are passionate about fishing, golf, football and everything else, but totally passive about the kingdom of God.

I am actually totally convinced that there is a whole demonic devision of spirits of darkness, all ‘passive devils’, there to put out Holy Ghost fire, passion and conviction. I have compassion for all passive believers because they are being robbed of all that really matters in life, but I am angry with godly, ‘righteous anger’ at the devil!

Do not just sit there and watch things happen! Some, so-called prophets spend much time talking about the devil’s plans for these last days, they spend hours researching his plans, hours watching news and hours reading newspapers just to give a report on what the devil and the powers of darkness are up to… then they end with, “brace yourselves, the worst is yet to come”, or “pray for the rapture, so that we can escape this!”

Family, we are to ‘occupy’ until He comes, not just hold on for dear life and passively watch the devil take over until Jesus comes!

If your job is standing in your way, if your schedule is standing in your way, whatever may be standing in your way… take charge, re-arrange, re-prioritize, and make room for your calling and assignment in life!

When you get in a service, if you are the preacher, preach passionately… don’t just stand there and read notes like a college lecturer… if you are a greeter, greet with passion, and release the anointing into every handshake and hug… stand during the praise and worship time, or go on your knees, or fall to your face and praise and worship with PASSION… don’t just sit there looking like somebody died… Jesus did die, but He rose again and is ALIVE!

Give with passion, tithe with passion, and drink of the Spirit with passion, in Jesus Name! If you do not, you are missing out!

Make room in your everyday life to passionately pray, to passionately share the gospel and to passionately take your place as a king and a priest in Christ. SHAKE OFF all passivity and continue the works of Jesus with zeal, with power and with passion, in Jesus Name!

Blessings on you, in His amazing love, NicK
