Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 46:4
There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling place of the Most High.
The river of God refers to the Holy Spirit flowing like a river in power and anointing… it is referenced many times in scripture. Here the psalmist prophesies that it will make glad the holy dwelling place, the city of the Most High… referring to the church.
Let’s read verse 1-6…
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though it’s waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah
There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling place of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.”
This is a prophetic passage referring to the church in the last days… the days that we are living in right now. In the midst of catastrophic last day events, we will not live in fear because the Lord Jesus will be our refuge and dwelling place of safety. (Psalm 91)
The river of God will flow strongly in our midst as a church, and we shall not be moved or compromise. The secular nations of the earth that have bowed the knee to the antichrist agenda will RAGE and be enraged against the church for not complying, but the anointed church will stand upon and speak the Word of God causing every weapon formed against us to melt away.
As a last day church, the river of God will continually make us glad, we will be glad not sad, full of faith, not fear and we will be blessed not stressed!
Take a swim in the river of God today… drink of it’s waters while you swim… then the river that you swim in and drink from will turn into RIVERS OF LIVING WATERS, flowing out of your innermost being… selah!
