Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Colossians 2:15
Jesus, having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
The devil and all of the powers of darkness have been defeated and disarmed by Jesus… everything in existence that is used to attack mankind has a devil behind it… spirits of cancer, spirits of covid-19, spirits of every named sickness, including spirits of depression and spirits of poverty… everything that attacks mankind in any form has a spIrit behind it, and the good news is… EVERY spirit of darkness, including the devil himself has been disarmed and defeated by Christ Jesus, and because we are in Christ, the devil and the powers of darkness are under our feet!
‘Then I heard a triumphant voice in heaven proclaiming: “Now salvation and power are set in place, and the kingdom reign of our God and the ruling authority of his Anointed One are established. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who relentlessly accused them day and night before our God, has now been defeated—cast out once and for all! (Revelation 12:10 TPT)
Picture the devil and millions of evil spirits, all without arms and without feet… disarmed and defeated! We do not need to fear the enemy, he has been rendered powerless towards those in Christ!
If you give place to the devil, he will deceive you into surrendering, and to receiving his stuff… (sickness, poverty, depression, addiction, fear and such). Only deceived believers who do not know who they are in Christ and who do not know their authority allow the devil to do stuff to them, and to put his stuff onto them. The devil deceives believers into yielding to him and allowing all kinds of filthy devils into their lives… DO NOT LET HIM PUT HIS STUFF ONTO YOU!
Do you let a dirty roach crawl around on you? No you do not… in the same way, DO NOT let the devil come near you. 1 Peter 5:8-9 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, be steadfast in the faith…” Notice that it says that the devil is seeking whom he may devour… that means that he cannot devour every believer… only those that give place to him, or allow him, and do not resist him.
The bible tells us to RESIST HIM by being STEADFAST IN THE FAITH… we do not resist him by fighting him, Jesus already did that and won… we resist him by remaining STEADFAST in our FAITH in Jesus’ finished work on Calvary! Only the believers that trade their faith for fear and unbelief give place to the devil to put his stuff on them. Those who are steadfast in faith cannot be touched… the devil is totally defeated and disarmed toward them!
You do not even have to think about the devil, just remain STEADFAST in your faith in the FINISHED work of Jesus… walk in faith by grace, walk in the anointing, follow the Holy Spirit, stay full of the Word, and keep your eyes on Jesus and you will never have to deal with the devil again regarding your personal life… never again.
The only time that we should deal with the devil is to cast him out of others, to bind him and to show him the way out. When you are casting out devils by healing the sick and ministering deliverance, do so in authority, do it swiftly, and do it in Jesus Name! You speak in faith, and the Lord and His angel armies will back you up… speak the Word… command the mountain be moved, and then walk away… you will have what you say in His Name!
Romans 16:20 says that the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you…
The Passion Translation says, “And the God of peace will swiftly pound Satan to a pulp under your feet! And the wonderful favor of our Lord Jesus will surround you.”
