THERE ARE THREE THINGS THAT THE DEVIL CANNOT AFFORD FOR YOU TO KNOW AND BE FULLY PERSUADED BY…
THERE ARE THREE THINGS THAT YOU MUST KNOW!
NUMBER ONE… WHAT YOU ARE CALLED TO,
NUMBER TWO… WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN,
NUMBER THREE… KNOWING HIS POWER TOWARD YOU AND HOW TO OPERATE IN IT.
Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Ephesians 1:16-19
16-17 I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
18-19 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.
LET’S BREAK DOWN THIS PASSAGE BY LOOKING AT SOME KEY GREEK WORDS…
“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you THE SPIRIT OF wisdom and revelation…”
The Greek word translated as ‘the spirit of’ is ‘pneûma’, literally meaning, ‘the breath of God’. “That God may breathe and impart wisdom and revelation into you.”
“The spirit of wisdom…”
The Greek word translated as ‘wisdom’ is ‘sophía’, literally meaning ‘divine, supreme intelligence… such as belongs to God’.
“That God may breathe and impart His supreme intelligence into you.”
“in the knowledge of Him…”
The Greek word translated as ‘in the knowledge of’ is, ‘epígnōsis’, literally meaning, ‘full discernment of’.
“That the Father may breathe on you and impart to you His supreme intelligence and revelation knowledge along with His full ability to discern…”
“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened…”
The Greek word for ‘understanding’ literally means, ‘grasping spiritual, divine things along with the ability to visualize those things in the spiritual realm.’

Ephesians 1:16-19 (Paraphrase)
“I pray that the Father of glory breathe and impart His supreme intelligence and wisdom into you, resulting in REVELATION according to His full discernment, that you will be able to see, understand and grasp three divine things in the realm of the spirit… His calling on your life, your inheritance in Christ and the exceeding greatness of His power toward you as a believer.”
AGAIN, THE FATHER WANTS YOU TO KNOW, UNDERSTAND AND HAVE REVELATION KNOWLEDGE CONCERNING…
1. The hope of His calling

THE HOPE OF HIS CALLING…
KNOWING AND HAVING REVELATION KNOWLEDGE AND A JOYFUL EXCITED EXPECTATION OF HIS CALLING ON YOUR LIFE!
The Father wants you to know what He has called you to, so that you can live the life that He designed you to live in hope, faith and expectation. Without revelation knowledge about your calling, you will find it very challenging and near impossible to live a life of purpose and fulfillment.
KNOWING AND HAVING REVELATION KNOWLEDGE ABOUT WHAT THE FATHER HAS GIVEN YOU AS AN INHERITANCE AS A JOINT HEIR IN CHRIST AND HOW VALUABLE IT IS.
Your inheritance as a believer is… an everlasting relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as sons and daughters… The Power of Jesus along with His authority and His ability. Divine health, prosperity, provision, protection and unmerited favor. The gifts of the Spirit and much, much more!
KNOWING AND HAVING REVELATION KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE GREATNESS OF HIS POWER TOWARD YOU – AND HOW HIS POWER WORKS IN AND THROUGH YOU WHEN YOU USE YOUR FAITH.
The Father wants you to have revelation knowledge about His power towards you as a believer… He wants you to get a revelation of His power operating in and through you. His power in you can raise the dead, open blind eyes, cause the lame to walk and those who are bound to be free! It is the dunamis POWER of God unto salvation!
