Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Ephesians 1:16-19
16-17 I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
18-19 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.
Ephesians 1:16-19 (Paraphrase)
“I pray that the Father of glory breathe His supreme intelligence and wisdom into you resulting in REVELATION according to His full discernment, that may be able to see, understand and grasp three divine things in the realm of the spirit… His calling on your life, your inheritance in Christ and the exceeding greatness of His power toward you as a believer.”
KNOWING YOUR CALLING BY REVELATION KNOWLEDGE…
The Father wants you to KNOW what He has called you to, so that you can fulfill your destiny in Christ, so that Jesus can minister through you to bring healing, wholeness and blessing to a lost generation, to demonstrate His love, grace, mercy and embrace to His children through you, and so that you can live in hope, faith and fulfillment!
Believers who do not know or walk in their calling are people without a purpose, they live in survival mode instead of thriving and they wait aimlessly for their heavenly reward instead of occupying in power until He comes… ask the Father today to open the eyes of your understanding and to give you supernatural revelation regarding your calling, in Jesus Name!
YOU ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE BY DESIGN…
Psalm 139:13-16 (TPT)
13 You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb.
14 I thank You, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything You do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! (for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works. - NKJV) How thoroughly You know me, Lord!
15 You even formed every bone in my body when You created me in the secret place; carefully, skillfully You shaped me from nothing to something.
16 You saw who You created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made by design! Everything you need to fulfill your calling is embedded into your DNA by your creator, Jesus your Lord and Savior.
The number of your days have been planned and predestined and were already recorded before you were even born. The devil wants to steal your destiny, block your purpose and hide you from the truth about your calling through deception. Get a revelation today from the Father and begin to walk in what and who Jesus made you to be! It’s not too late!
Ephesians 1:11 says, “In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will.”
Ephesians 1:11 (Paraphrase) - “We have obtained an inheritance in Jesus and we have been predestined and equipped to fulfill the same purpose that Jesus had.”
In John 14:12, Jesus says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”
YOUR PRIMARY CALLING IS TO CONTINUE TO DO WHAT JESUS DID AND TO FULFILL WHAT HE WAS PURPOSED TO DO!
To seek and to save the lost, to release the love of God to those who do not deserve it, to release life and life more abundantly, in Jesus Name, to bring wholeness, healing, prosperity, deliverance, miracles, signs and wonders to those in need, in Jesus name, and to totally destroy the works of the devil, in Jesus Name!
YOUR PERSONAL CALLING WILL EMERGE AS YOU FULFILL YOUR PRIMARY CALL TO CONTINUE THE WORKS OF JESUS
When Jesus made you, He embedded gifts and talents in you that operate by the power of God… these are supernatural, divine gifts and talents… they differ for your natural gifts and talents in that they only function and operate under the anointing and the power of God. In fact, many times people are called to do what they cannot do in the natural.
His calling on your life operates according to the working of His mighty power (Ephesians 1:18-19) Many do not know their calling, or have missed it because they are only looking for it in their natural strengths. Your calling has nothing to do with your natural ability, talent, or gifts and has everything to do with what He called you to do by grace through faith and by His power and ability. You may be weak in what you are called to do ‘in the natural’, but in the supernatural, you will be strong in the power of His might!
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (TPT)
9 “My grace is always more than enough for you, and My power finds its full expression through your weakness.” So, I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I’m weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me. 10 So I’m not defeated by my weakness, but delighted! For when I feel my weakness and endure mistreatment—when I’m surrounded with troubles on every side and face persecution because of my love for Christ—I am made yet stronger. For my weakness becomes a portal to God’s power.
HOW DO I DISCERN MY CALLING?
In short, our calling in Christ is discerned by divine revelation when the eyes of our understanding are supernaturally opened under the anointing!
1 Corinthians 2:9-10
It is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Holy Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
1 Corinthians 2:12,14
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
The Passion Translation says, “Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can’t understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit.”
The Holy Spirit will help you to KNOW, to discern and to get a revelation regarding your calling…
AS YOU WORSHIP THE LORD, AS YOU PRAY, AS YOU SEEK HIS FACE AND AS YOU MEDITATE UPON THE WORD AND PRESS INTO THE ANOINTING, HE WILL OPEN YOUR SPIRITUAL EYES AND REVEAL HIS CALLING ON YOUR LIFE
