Today’s New Covenant nugget is from John 14:26 (AMP)
But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.
THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT A DOVE, HE IS NOT JUST THE POWER OF GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A PERSON!
Take some time to visualize the Holy Spirit; Jesus said that when you have seen Me, you have seen the Father… so, Jesus and the Father look alike, but the Bible does not describe what the Holy Spirit looks like, however, I do not believe that He is just some kind of a floating ‘light blob’… the Bible says in 1 John 5:7 (KJV) “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” Based on this scripture and others, I believe that the Holy Spirit also looks very similar to Jesus and the Father.
The Holy Spirit is a kind, loving, powerful person, the Holy Spirit is the third person in the Godhead, the Holy Spirit is God, as is the Father and the Son!
The Father rules and directs His Kingdom, Jesus establishes and creates the Father’s will, and the Holy Spirit empowers, sanctions and then communicates the rule of the Father. Jesus did everything that the Father commanded Him to do by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is THE DOER, The Father is THE COMMANDER and the Holy Spirit is THE ENABLER. Praise the Lord, the great enabler now lives on the inside of us. This is why you can do all things through the Anointed One and His anointing Who strengthens you.
What does the Holy Spirit do in our lives?
‘But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember (the Word) everything that I have told you.’ (John 14:26 - AMP)
‘When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.’ (John 16:13-14)
From these scriptures alone we can see that the Holy Spirit has been sent to Help us in everything that we are called to do. In addition, He is our Comforter, our Advocate, our Intercessor, our Counselor and Strengthener. He gives us supernatural ability and miracle working power. The Holy Spirit is our teacher Who answers all of our questions and teaches us how to walk in victory in every area of life. The Holy Spirit convicts, He warns us and He reminds us to walk in the Word. He guides us into all truth and He tells us about things to come and how to prepare for them.
Start developing and deepening your relationship with the Holy Spirit today, speak to Him, ask Him questions, receive from Him. As you do, you will begin to live on another level!
In His amazing love, Nick
