Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Mark 11:23

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

This is such a well-known verse in the church world. We are always encouraged when we read this verse to rise up in faith and speak to the mountains in our lives - not to be double minded, and to stand firm believing, that we receive when we pray.

Today, I want to ask you the question – “what are you saying”?

Our words are so important, whether we are encouraging someone else, whether we are praying the prayer of faith or whether we are telling someone about the ‘mountains’ facing our lives. Family of God, ‘what are you saying?’ about your circumstances about your situation and about your life? What are you saying when you minister to others and encourage them?

As I was reading this verse today, those words of Jesus stood out to me, “Be mindful of what you say, because you will have what you say”. Let’s speak life, let’s speak faith, let’s speak the Word, let’s speak hope.

Speak life over your circumstances, speak life over your future, speak life over today, and speak life over tomorrow! Are your words filled with faith? Are your words His words? Are your words bringing you hope, peace and joy?

When it comes to your friendships and relationships, what are you saying to your friends and those you love? Are you building them up in faith, are you encouraging them, are you speaking words of life over them? Are your words filled with love, gentleness, kindness and self-control?

What are you saying? Are you speaking words that, later, you would have to go and apologize, to not only the Lord, but to your friends too?

What are you saying? Are your words yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit? You know how at times His still small voice will tell you to not speak certain things in a conversation? Let’s be yielded to the Holy Spirit and His Word in everything we say. By GRACE, let’s speak with purpose, faith, vision, hope, love and the fulness of His Spirit flowing forth from our inner being.

The Bible tells us we shall have what we say!  Your words are your future harvest. Speak His Word into your future. Speak His Word into the lives of those around you, as well as over yourself.

Proverbs 16:24 says that ‘pleasant words are as honey-comb, sweet to the soul and health to our bones’. May what you say today be nurturing, may your words of life feed the mind, the will and the emotions with faith and hope so that His healing power can be made fully manifest.

In His amazing love, Esther
