Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Ephesians 6:12 (NLT)
We are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Always recognize that people, circumstances, or financial challenges are NEVER the source of your problems! The enemy designs his attacks to look like they originate from people, or even that you are your own biggest problem, but most of what you are up against is spirits of darkness, hiding behind people or circumstances.
Spiritual attack can result in heaviness, stress, depression, and can cause many other negative emotions. There are days where I just ‘feel’ disturbed, heavy, discouraged, disheartened, and generally inundated with negative feelings and thoughts… sometimes it takes me a while to recognize that these emotions and thoughts do not belong to me, they are fiery darts of the enemy, designed to look and feel like they come from within.
As soon as the Holy Spirit ‘opens my eyes’ to the true source, half the battle is won! This is where
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 comes in… “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down ARGUMENTS and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (The Word of God), bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (to the Word and the anointing.)”
After recognizing the source, I use my greatest weapon, ‘the NAME of JESUS’, and I BIND every thought and every argument, and then release the anointing over my mind as I place my thoughts on the Word. That takes care of how I feel… then at that point, I speak the Word over every situation and circumstance that I am facing, I get in faith, and then, I cast my cares upon Jesus!
This is all part of POSITIONING… we have to assume a victory stance, by grace, through faith, and then PROCESS what we are facing according to the New Covenant Word! After enforcing the DEFEAT of the enemy, ‘New Covenant style’, don’t forget to receive JOY and PEACE, and then get EXCITED as the Lord begins to orchestrate things to work together for your good!
The main message I want to deliver today, is, “know that the source of what you are facing is not a person, or happenstance circumstance. If it’s good, then it’s God… if it’s not, it’s a rotten, stinking, defeated devil! If you are angry, frustrated, feeling offended, or hurt, and it looks and feels like the perpetrator is a PERSON… refocus… identify the true source, then deal with it the New Covenant way, in Jesus Name!
