Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Luke 4:18-19
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me (and anointed Me) to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set those who are oppressed free; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
THE ANOINTING IS THE SOURCE OF ALL MIRACLES…
Jesus did every miracle by the power of the anointing. Under the New Covenant, the same anointing that Jesus operated under is now available as a gift to every born-again believer. The anointing destroys everything that is not of God, and it breathes life into, builds up, strengthens and establishes everything that is of God!
THE ANOINTING IS THE SANCTION OF GOD! THE ANOINTING IS THE MANIFEST PRESENCE, POWER AND AUTHORITY OF JESUS POURED OUT THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT!
LOOK FOR THE ANOINTING…
Jesus came to the pool of Bethesda… He observed hundreds of sick and disabled people surrounding the pool. An angel of the Lord would stir the waters and the first one to get into the water would be healed.
Everybody had their eyes focused on the pool… ready to jump in. The pool was their opportunity to be delivered from their sickness. As Jesus [The Anointed One] approached the pool, nobody looked to Him… they totally missed the man with the greatest anointing on earth and even looked around him to the water.
Jesus walked up to a paralyzed man and asked Him, “Do you want to be made whole?” The paralyzed man did not discern the anointing on Jesus either… all he did was complain about how that he had nobody to help him get into the water… Jesus said, “take up your bed and walk”… instantly the man was made whole. Nobody seemed to even notice… they were too busy looking at the water… imagine if they had seen Jesus for Who He really was… they all would have come to Jesus and hundreds would have been miraculously healed!
Just like with the pool of Bethesda, people are looking everywhere for solutions… they are looking right around Jesus, His Word and His anointed vessels to whatever they have placed their hope in. I don’t know about you, but I do not want Jesus to walk into my house and me not even see Him for Who He is… I do not want to miss discerning the anointing and miss my miracle!
Look for the anointing… look for it on men and women of God, on music, on literature… look for the anointing and make up your mind, that by grace through faith, you will be able to discern it when you see it! The anointing is the answer to everything!
MAKE ROOM FOR THE ANOINTING
2 Kings 4:8-10 - “Now it happened one day that Elisha went to Shunem, where there was a notable woman, and SHE PERSUADED HIM to eat some food. So it was, as often as he passed by, he would turn in there to eat some food. And she said to her husband, “Look now, I know that this is a holy (anointed) man of God, who passes by us regularly. Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so, it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there.”
THE SHUNAMITE WOMAN LOOKED FOR THE ANOINTING, THEN MADE ROOM FOR THE ANOINTING!
WHEN YOU SEE SOMEONE OR SOMETHING THAT IS ANOINTED… MAKE ROOM FOR IT!
MAKE ROOM FOR IT WITH YOUR MONEY, MAKE ROOM FOR IT WITH YOUR TIME, MAKE ROOM FOR IT IN EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE!
LOOK FOR IT, THEN MAKE ROOM FOR IT!
Because the Shunamite woman made room for the anointing, the anointing made room for her… The Shunamite woman was barren and (in the natural), unable to have children… when she made room for the anointing, the anointed man of God noticed her lack… then, by the anointing she received her miracle and became pregnant. In the natural, she could not have children, but because she made room for the anointing, by the power of the anointing, God gave her a miracle child… a son!
PLACE A DEMAND UPON THE ANOINTING
2 Kings 4:18-21 “And the child grew. Now it happened one day that he went out to his father, to the reapers. And he said to his father, “My head, my head!” So, he said to a servant, “Carry him to his mother.” When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died. And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, shut the door upon him, and went out.”
The story goes on in 2 Kings 4:22-26 “Then she called to her husband, and said, “Please send me one of the young men and one of the donkeys, THAT I MAY RUN TO THE MAN OF GOD (that I may run to the anointing) and come back.” So, he said, “Why are you going to him today?” And she said, “IT IS WELL.” And so she departed, and went to the man of God… So it was, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to his servant Gehazi, “Look, the Shunammite woman! Please run now to meet her, and say to her, ‘Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?’ ” And she answered, “it is well.”
When you place a demand upon the anointing that you have made room for… on your money, on your health, on your relationships, and on your assignments… you give your challenge to the Lord, you shut the door, you walk away, then you RUN to the anointing in faith declaring, “it is well!”
You do not place a demand on the anointing by getting negative, questioning God and abandoning your faith… you place a demand upon the anointing by staying in faith, holding fast to your confession of faith, and by doing everything in your power to make a withdrawal of the anointing.
The same anointing that gave the Shunamite woman her miracle child, also raised that child from the dead when He got sick and died… the Shunamite woman looked for the anointing, made room for the anointing, and then placed a demand upon the anointing… she made room for the anointing, and the anointing made room for her!
The woman with the issue of blood pressed through the crowd toward the Anointed One and His anointing… she touched the hem of His garment and tapped some of the anointing in Jesus. Jesus said, “who touched Me? I perceive that virtue (anointing) has come out of Me…” That woman looked for the anointing, made room for the anointing and then placed a demand upon the anointing, and she was made whole!
Do whatever you have to do to get the anointing on your life, on your body, your relationships, your career, your ministry and on your money. Seek it out, invest in it, spend time around it and then, place a demand upon it… the anointing is what will manifest your miracle… selah!

I LOOK FOR YOUR ANOINTING ON EVERYTHING AND ON EVERYONE AND WHEN I SEE IT, I MAKE ROOM FOR IT.
I MAKE ROOM FOR YOUR ANOINTING AND YOUR ANOINTED ONE’S WITH MY TIME, IN MY PRAYERS, WITH MY SERVICE, WITH MY MONEY AND WITH MY HEART.
I PLACE A DEMAND UPON YOUR ANOINTING! I HAVE FAITH IN THE ANOINTED ONE AND HIS ANOINTING!
YOUR SUPERNATURAL ANOINTING WILL BREATHE LIFE ON EVERYTHING THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN ME!
YOUR ANOINTING WILL DESTROY EVERY WORK OF THE DEVIL!
THANK YOU JESUS FOR THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!
I LOOK FOR IT, I MAKE ROOM FOR IT AND I PLACE A DEMAND UPON IT, IN JESUS NAME!”
