Today's New Covenant nugget is from Hebrews 2:1
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
The Passion Translation says, “This is why it is so crucial that we be all the more engaged and attentive to the truths that we have heard so that we do not drift off course”
When you let the truth that you know slip away, you can start drifting off course…
The Lord has imparted such powerful truths to us, so many powerful principles, values and wisdom keys, and so many life-giving teachings… DON’T LET THEM SLIP AWAY!
Jesus said that the devil comes IMMEDIATELY to steal the Word that the Lord gives.
The reason that he tries to steal the Word is that every Word of God is anointed, inspired, powerful and life-giving. His words to you are given to you for your breakthrough and for your future success.
Proverbs 4:20-22 says’ “My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.”
Day after day in these devotions, Sunday after Sunday in Church the Lord brings truth, revelation and words of life… take heed to what you have heard… be engaged and attentive to the truths that you have heard! They are life and health and blessing to those who receive them.
Proverbs 4:20-22 says, “My son, give attention to my words. Fill your thoughts with My words until they penetrate deep into your spirit. Then, as you unwrap my words, they will impart true life and radiant health
into the very core of your being.”
After we receive a powerful word from the Lord, instead of letting it slip… fill your thoughts with it, unwrap it and let it penetrate to the very core of your being!
I am still chewing on Sunday’s word… “Look for the anointing - Make room for the anointing - place a demand on the anointing - the anointing destroys everything that is not God and breathes life into, strengthens and establishes everything that is God”… wow so much to chew on!
I remember back in the beginning of the ‘Word Of Faith’ movement, the revelation was given, ‘so then faith cometh by hearing and hearing’… we would get Kenneth Copeland and Kenneth Hagin teaching cassette tapes and listen to the same teachings over and over, and over again until we would wear them out…
So many in today’s culture are always looking for a new word and a new revelation, and they do not fully receive what they have already been given. Because I did not let the truths of those days slip away, because I listened to the messages on those cassette tapes over and over again… now years and years later I am still carried by the truth that I allowed to penetrate to the core of my being…
DON'T LET IT SLIP... GIVE EARNEST HEED TO WHAT YOU HAVE HEARD!
