Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

The word that the King James Bible translates as ‘be still’ is the Hebrew word ‘râphâh’ literally meaning, ‘relax and let go’. You have prayed, you have declared the Word in faith, you are standing on the Word and you are keeping your eyes on Jesus, now cast your cares upon the Lord… relax, let go and enter into His rest!

The Passion Translation says, “Surrender your anxiety! Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God. I am the God above all the nations, and I will be exalted throughout the whole earth.”

The New English Translation says, “He says, “Stop your striving and recognize that I am God. I will be exalted over the nations! I will be exalted over the earth!”

Things usually take time to materialize… a human baby takes nine months to make an appearance outside of the womb, a Black Alpine Salamander’s pregnancy lasts thirty-six months and the frilled shark can wait forty-two months before giving birth. The baby is alive at conception, but takes time to be seen.

Once you have received the Word by grace through faith by the confession of your faith, like a mother your promises are received, conceived alive and well… the Word of His promise has taken root and will manifest in due season. The gestation period is different for every promise, so do not give up, lose heart or try to bring your promise into manifestation in your own strength… remember Ishmael?

“Surrender your anxiety! Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God!” Know this, that God is watching over His Word to perform it, every promise will manifest in the perfect timing of the Lord… stay in faith, enter into His rest and in due season you will be walking in the promise… selah!

In His amazing Love, Nick
