Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 75:6-7 (TPT)
This I know: the favor that brings promotion and power doesn’t come from anywhere on earth, for no one exalts a person but God, the true judge of all. He alone determines where favor rests. He anoints one for greatness and brings another down to his knees.
NEW COVENANT PROMOTION CANNOT BE ACHIEVED… IT COMES AS A GIFT FROM THE LORD WHEN YOU ARE READY
WITH PROMOTION COMES INCREASED AUTHORITY, ANOINTING, SUPERNATURAL ABILITY AND FAVOR
In John 12:23 Jesus said, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified (promoted and raised up).” The Greek word translated as ‘glorified’ is ‘doxázō’ literally meaning ‘to make renowned, to be promoted, or to be raised up’.
JUST AS JESUS WAS PROMOTED AND RAISED UP… MANY OF YOU ARE IN THE PROCESS OF PROMOTION AND GOING TO A NEW LEVEL RIGHT NOW…
In John 12:23-25, Jesus starts by saying that the time has come for Him to be promoted, and then He goes on to impart revelation on how New Covenant ‘kingdom promotion’ works… He uses a grain of wheat to illustrate… Jesus said, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified (promoted and raised up). Most assuredly, I SAY TO YOU, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves (prioritizes) his life will lose it, and he who hates (does not prioritize) his life (he who loves his life less) in this world will keep it for eternal life.” (John 12:23-25 -TPT)
7 STAGES OF NEW COVENANT PROMOTION
#1. Separation
The first stage of promotion following the principle of the grain of wheat, or a seed occurs when the fruit that contains the seed is separated from the plant, or tree… a seed cannot produce fruit while it is on the tree… it has to be separated. In New Covenant promotion the Lord spiritually separates us unto Himself… He spiritually disconnects us from our current state of being. This stage may feel lonely and like you do not belong, or fit… you are still outwardly connected to people, places and projects, but yet spiritually you will sense a disconnection.
#2. Isolation
The seed is now planted under the ground… as with the seed, the Lord plants you in a place of obscurity where the sense of isolation sets in. The Lord has to remove you and then isolate you unto Himself spiritually to work on you and to get you ready for promotion.
#3. Death
The next stage that the separated, isolated seed goes through is the ‘death’ stage… this is where the Lord brings us to a point of dying to everything that we have been… a place where we let go of everything and die to it… vision, ambition, plans, dreams all die… a seed has to die before it can operate in resurrection life.
#4. Inner resurrection
After the seed dies, it begins to germinate… this is the stage where the Lord imparts fresh vision and zoe life (the God kind of life). This life springs forth deep on the inside of you.
#5. Growth in isolation
The seed begins to grow underground… the growth cannot be seen outwardly, but the seed is growing in isolation. This is where you start to grow in anointing and authority and in the gifts of the Spirit.
#6. Visible emergence
The seed breaks ground and a tiny blade emerges… This is where the Lord begins to use you in small ways… a time of small beginnings where you begin to operate in your new found power and anointing.
#7. Prominence and fruit bearing
The seed is now a fruit bearing tree… this is where you walk in a new level in resurrection power… you have now been promoted, the New Covenant way!
HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT KEYS TO PROMOTION…
#1. Yield to the process… do not resist, even though painful and uncomfortable at times, it is the Lord’s doing, so yield to His process of promotion!
#2. Stay planted… do not jump ship! Remain consistent in fellowship, in serving, in giving, in the Word and in prayer. If you jump ship, you will have to start all over.
#3. Know that promotion comes from the Lord… when you are ready, GOD will promote you… it will be a gift from Him to you… look to Him, keep your trust in Him, He will bring it to pass!
