Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Ephesians 1:16-18 (NLT)
I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance
Many of us have unsaved friends and family, or know people who are going through trauma in their lives because they either are backslidden, grown cold in their relationship with the Lord, or they are running from God.
We all know people who are not serving the Lord. I felt led of the Lord to encourage you today to make time to pray for someone you know today who needs Jesus.
As you pray, bind the devil from blinding and deceiving that person. The Lord says in His Word that what we bind on earth is bound in heaven… then pray Ephesians 1:16-18 over your loved one, your friend or that person you know needs a touch from Jesus, or needs the spiritual wisdom and insight that only our heavenly Father can give so that they can begin to grow in the knowledge of Him.
Pray this prayer with me today…
“Father today we pray for our loved ones, our friends that need you Jesus. Lord we pray the eyes of their understanding be enlightened that they may know what is the hope of Your calling and the rich inheritance that we all have in You, we bind all deception and blindness in them, thank You Holy Spirit that you draw them back to You and that You send people to them to minister to them in their time of need… we call them saved, on fire and alive in Jesus! In Jesus mighty Name.”
