Today’s New Covenant nugget is Ephesians 2:6
He raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
The Father has raised you up together with Jesus and has made you sit down in Christ, in Heaven… He made us sit down – in other words, the Father placed us in a position of REST in the finished work of Jesus – The Father wants us to reign as kings and priests in Christ from a place of rest and He wants us to pray from Heaven to Earth from a place of rest.
A king reigns while seated on his throne… as kings and priests in Christ we are also to reign, seated on Heaven’s throne in Christ. As kings and priests in Christ, when we pray, we should enter the presence of the Lord… take our seats in Christ, and begin to speak, declare and decree the Word from Heaven to Earth – I call it resting prayer! Praying while resting in the finished work of Jesus from Heaven’s throne to earth.
When you pray in the Spirit, you pray seated in Christ next to the Father in Heaven – your spirit enters into ‘secret mystery discussion’ with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, fellowshipping together and strategizing together in Heavenly places. Then, when you pray the prayer of faith in your earthly language, you enforce the strategy of Heaven, from Heaven to earth!
In these last days, prayer is going to become more important as we approach the end of the age… just praying a sentence here and there throughout the day is not what is required – what is required is for us as believers to set aside quality time to take our seats in heavenly places, and to speak those things that ‘are not’ into being from Heaven, to earth… to bind, to loose, and to enforce the will and the strategy of the Father over all of the earth.
We have to take our place as ‘restrainers’ and block the antichrist agenda.
The bible says in 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8, “You know what is holding the lawless one [the antichrist] back, for he can be revealed only when his time comes. For this lawlessness is already at work secretly, and it will remain secret until THE ONE WHO NOW RESTRAINS is taken out of the way. Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed…” The body of Christ with Jesus as the Head, empowered by the Holy Spirit is THE ONE WHO RESTRAINS… we restrain the antichrist agenda as kings and priests, seated in Christ in heavenly places.
Take your place, in Jesus Name! Rise up! Shake off passivity and pray from Heaven to earth as you REST in the finished work of Jesus!
