The revelation of the righteousness of God and our righteousness in Him is embedded in the gospel of Christ… the good news of our New Covenant in Christ is more than philosophy, it is a ‘power-covenant’ filled with revelation. We receive that revelation from faith to faith… in other words, we receive revelation concerning our righteousness in Christ progressively as we grow in the Lord.
Living by faith is only possible through revelation that we are righteous in Christ – in fact, your revelation of your righteousness in Christ will determine your level of living by faith!
Believers who do not have a revelation that they are the righteousness of God in Christ continually try to earn right standing through works instead of receiving it through grace – attempting to receive righteousness through right behavior always ends in failure and when you live in continual failure, you cannot live by faith!
Every believer needs to know that they are right with God, perfect in His sight and that they have total unmerited favor in the sight of the Father because they are in Christ. If a believer is not fully convinced about their rightstanding towards the Lord, they will be flooded with condemnation, shame, blame and unworthiness to be mightily used. Knowing that we are righteous in Christ removes all shame, blame, condemnation and unworthiness and sets us free to truly live by faith!
