Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Galatians 3:11
No one is declared righteous by the law in the sight of God, it is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”
The Amplified Bible says it this way, ‘Now it is clear that no one is justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing] before God by the Law, for “The righteous (the just, the upright) shall live by faith.”’
The Law, or legalism cannot produce righteousness, but faith in what Jesus did on Calvary can and will – as taught in the last teaching (part 2), you can only live by faith through a revelation of your righteousness in Christ… however there is another truth, living by faith in the finished work of Christ is the only door to true righteousness, so, faith and righteousness in Christ go hand in hand! I am righteous in Christ because my faith is in His finished work, and I live by faith because I know that I am righteous in Him.
Faith in Jesus produces righteousness-consciousness and righteousness-consciousness produces a life that is lived by faith!
