Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Jeremiah 15:16

Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your Word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; for I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.

Your heart (your spirit man) yearns to feed on the living Word - when you meditate on the Word, your spirit man breaks into joy and rejoicing!

David said in Psalm 119:103 “How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” The Word of God is like the best, sweetest desert to your spirit man – your flesh resists eating the Word, because the same Word that nourishes and strengthens your spirit, kills the flesh… so, you have your spirit saying, “more Word please… I’m so hungry!” and at the same time your flesh is saying, “oh no… not the Word! I don’t understand it, I am too tired, let’s do some social media instead!” The same Word is both life-giving and life-threatening at the same time… life-threatening to your flesh and life-giving to your spirit!

Take some time to feast upon the Word today - Proverbs 4:21-22 (TPT) says, ‘Fill your thoughts with my words until they penetrate deep into your spirit. Then, as you unwrap my words, they will impart true life and radiant health into the very core of your being.

In His amazing Love, Nick
