Before you were born again, you were darkness… in other words, when people came around you or listened to your words and your opinions the lights went out – no matter your intentions, as a spiritually dead person, you imparted darkness, death and confusion. When the lights go out in a room, nobody can see… everybody has to stop, and then feel their way around the room… stubbing their toes on all of the things that they cannot see, holding onto each other… blind leading the blind.
Now, in Christ, you are light – when you get around people it is like the light gets turned on… people can see, confusion goes, life comes and fear goes. As a child of light, your influence is greatly increased – be light wherever you go… be light on social media, to your friends, to your family… walk as a child of the light!
Jesus said, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. - Matthew 5:14-16
