Faith is a gift… the bible says that to each one is given a measure of faith. (Romans 12:3) How much is a measure of faith? A measure is a ‘God portion’… in other words, it is a gift of faith portioned out by the Lord to each believer – I assure you that when the Lord gives a portion, it will be more than enough – it will be pressed down, shaken together and running over – so, you have been given faith, so that you can function as a king and a priest under the New Covenant of Jesus. You can increase your faith, cultivate your faith and activate your faith by hearing and hearing the Word by sowing the Word into your heart.
Faith is total reliance upon the Lord, faith believes because of the Word and is not affected by circumstances, faith receives in the realm of the spirit and brings them into manifestation in the natural – faith has a voice, and it speaks the Word, faith has feet, and it walks according to the leading of the Spirit and faith is a shield, and it quenches ALL the fiery darts of the wicked one.
You have been given this shield of faith, but you have a choice… you can put it down and surrender to doubt, fear and unbelief, or you can stir it up and raise it up by grace as your standard for living. Faith is a wrap around shield… like an impenetrable Holy Ghost anointing bubble – it creates a place of safety, peace, joy and rest in the midst of the battle.
