TODAY’S TEACHING IS ON GIFTS OF HEALINGS AND DISCERNING OF SPIRITS…
Let’s begin with the gifts of healings…
Notice it is called ‘gift’s’ of healings – there are multiple gifts of healing… the different gifts deal with different aspects of healing and the gifts operate differently from person to person in relationship to their calling – for example, some are given a gift that brings physical healing to the body, some are given a gift that brings emotional healing and some a gift that brings mental healing. The gifts are diversified even more… one will be given a gift of healing that opens blind eyes, to another a gift that opens deaf ears, to anther a gift that heals cancer and some will be given a gift that is to every area of the body - some will be given a gift to bring emotional healing and some mental healing…
Gifts of healings are different from the working of miracles in that a miracle is usually instant, while a healing may manifest over time.
DISCERNING OF SPIRITS
Notice, the gift is not called ‘discernment’ is called the discerning of spirits. With this gift the Holy Spirit manifests upon the yielded believer and operates by discerning spiritual things, or things in the realm of the spirit – sometimes it the Holy Spirit enables the minister to see things in the realm of the spirit, sometimes He enables the believer to hear things in the realm of the spirit and sometimes He enables the believer to only discern or be aware of something in the realm of the spirit – sometimes all three aspects of seeing, hearing and recognizing through discernment are given to the believer.
The gift is to discern the move of the Holy Spirit, to discern the leading of the Holy Spirit, to hear the voice of God as well as to see, discern or hear angels and heavenly beings.
The gift is also to discern, see, or hear demonic activity in the spirit realm to take authority over, to bind and to release the yoke destroying anointing onto the plans and schemes of the enemy.
HOW THE GIFT OF HEALINGS AND THE GIFT OF DISCERNING OF SPIRITS WORK TOGETHER…
There are spirits of infirmity that bring sickness and there are sicknesses that naturally occur. There are also angels that deliver body parts from heaven that work with the ministering believer. To those that are given both the gifts of healings as well as the discerning of spirits… they can discern a spirit of infirmity as the root cause of an illness and minister deliverance to produce healing when appropriate. They can also be aware of ministering angels and work together with them to minister healing.
Epilepsy or fits that resemble epilepsy can be spirits of infirmity that need to be cast out, or they can naturally occur and ministering re-alignment of the neck and spine can manifest healing in that area. Some mental illnesses are caused by spirits of infirmity, while others are caused by chemical imbalances, trauma, or other natural caused – when a believer has both gifts, they work together very good, or when two believers with one of the gifts each work together, it is very effective.
Begin to operate in healing and in the discerning of spirits by faith today. Step out on the Word today and begin to minister supernaturally by the power of the Holy Spirit wherever there is a need.
