Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 108:13 & Philippians 4:13
Through and with God we shall do valiantly, for He it is Who shall tread down our adversaries. - I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].
The dictionary describes the word Valiant as brave and full of valor. To be valiant, talks about someone being full of courage and showing perseverance.
In the Psalms, David describes how with God we shall have courage and be full of perseverance and prophetically tells us we will have victory over our enemies… but I love how this ties in with Philippians 4:13 in the New Covenant, where Paul now says ‘I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me…. Who infuses inner strength into me’.
Friends, how powerful is this. Jesus paid the price for you to be strong and full of courage. He has infused you with His strength and ability. Because we are in covenant relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, His strength has become our strength. In every situation in life, you have been promised strength, courage and perseverance through His Word.
A friend of mine’s son is in a drug rehab center and was really struggling this week to stay there… wanting to run away and felt he could not do it. The Lord had me share with her that he could lean on God’s strength to stay… sometimes you hit a low point and you have to gather your emotions and say “Father I don’t have strength in me… but Father, I can do this in your strength, the strength that you bountifully supply… the strength that you infuse into me…”
Rise up today in His strength, His courage and go be valiant. Push through, be valiant because He is with you, He is in you and He goes before you making the crooked places straight. He is faithful in every situation. Stand on His Word. Speak His Word. Let His strength flow through you - Amen.
Blessings on you, Esther
