“I see the body of Christ being raised up supernaturally in 2020 – I see believers that have been audiences and spectators going from the stadium bleachers and grandstands to the playing field – many past revivals have been built upon great leaders, but the coming awakening will be an uprising of the people of God – believers will worship together in local churches, pray together, receive impartation and instruction together, and then they will go out as firebrands burning with Jesus… full of the Holy Ghost, bringing the power of God unto salvation to their neighbors, their co-workers, their families and their friends.
I believe that 2020 will be the beginning of what was prophesied in Acts 2:17-21 “This is what I will do in the last days — I will pour out my Spirit on everybody and cause your sons and daughters to prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will experience dreams from God. The Holy Spirit will come upon all my servants, men and women alike, and they will prophesy. I will reveal startling signs and wonders in the sky above and mighty miracles on the earth below and everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
The gifts of the Spirit will be ignited in passionate, dedicated, committed believers and many that have been in the shadows will be thrust into the light – miracles, signs, wonders and supernatural healings will be common place – now is the time… get ready, get ready, get ready! There is a special grace, a powerful anointing that is being imparted together with a dissatisfaction and a refusal to be professional pew warmers whose only responsibility is to say “amen” on cue and to volunteer in the man made programs that fit the so called vision of the house.
There is no program that can restrain, contain or box in this last day awakening – where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty – freedom in the Holy Ghost, mutual accountability, wholehearted passion, supernatural power, signs, wonders and miracles beyond anything that we have seen will be unleashed through accountants, salesmen and woman, mechanics, construction workers, farmers, store clerks and other ordinary, yet dedicated people – get ready for an uprising of the people!
This will not fall upon the church sovereignly, but will emerge as God’s people willingly receive and embrace what the Lord intends to do – in other words… don’t sit around and wait for this to happen automatically, just because it’s 2020… grab ahold of this word and make it yours by faith, in Jesus Name! If you have a witness in your spirit that this is indeed the word of the Lord, receive it and run with it! Let 2020 be known as ‘resurrection year’ – the year that the sleeping church is resurrected in power to do the works of Jesus and even greater works – rise up, in Jesus Name, be quickened by the power of the Holy Ghost and begin to overflow into the world around you!”
In Ephesians 4:16 it says, ‘Christ - from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
EPHESIANS 4:11-16 IS SPECIFIC INSTRUCTION FOR OUR AMAZING LOVE CHURCH, BUT I BELIEVE THAT IT WILL SERVE EVERY CHURCH WELL – SO PLEASE PRAY ABOUT THIS REVELATION GIVEN AND ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT IF IT IS FOR YOU, NO MATTER WHICH CHURCH YOU ARE ATTENDING.
This message is about personal growth, being launched out into ministry as well as church growth – now I know that we are living in the Book of Acts and not in the Book of Numbers, but New Covenant church growth is not about numbers, it is about reaching as many individuals for Jesus as we can – we need to reach people because they are suffering and because Jesus died for them on the cross – it is selfish to look the other way and to pass them by – the harvest is ripe, but the laborers ore few!
Ephesians 4:11-16 (TPT)
And He has appointed some with grace to be apostles, and some with grace to be prophets, and some with grace to be evangelists, and some with grace to be pastors, and some with grace to be teachers.
And their calling is to nurture and prepare all the holy believers to do their own works of ministry, and as they do this they will enlarge and build up the body of Christ.
These grace ministries will function until we all attain oneness in the faith, until we all experience the fullness of what it means to know the Son of God, and finally we become one perfect man with the full dimensions of spiritual maturity and fully developed in the abundance of Christ. And then our immaturity will end! And we will not be easily shaken by trouble, nor led astray by novel teachings or by the false doctrines of deceivers who teach clever lies. But instead we will remain strong and always sincere in our love as we express the truth. All our direction and ministries will flow from Christ and lead us deeper into Him, the anointed Head of His body, the church.
For His “body” has been formed in His image and is closely joined together and constantly connected as one. And every member has been given divine gifts to contribute to the growth of all; and as these gifts operate effectively throughout the whole body, we are built up (it causes growth) and made perfect in love.
The New King James bible says, ‘Christ - from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
The Greek word translated as ‘causes growth’ is ‘aúxesis’… literally meaning supernatural growth and increase.
It is only used 2x in scripture Ephesians 4:16 and Colossians 2:19
Colossians 2:19 (TPT) - We receive directly from Him (Jesus), and His life supplies vitality into every part of His body through the joining ligaments connecting us all as one. He is the divine Head who guides His body and causes it to grow (to increase) by the supernatural power of God.
Both scriptures say the same thing…
Connected with Jesus and each other - as each one takes their place and each one does their share the church will grow supernaturally.
WE ALL HAVE TO TAKE OUR PLACE AND GET INVOLVED IF WE ARE GOING TO EXPERIENCE SUPERNATURAL CHURCH GROWTH!
SMALL CHURCHES ARE SMALL BECAUSE EACH ONE IS NOT TAKING THEIR PLACE.
It can be anointed, people can be raised from the dead and the messages can be amazing, but as vital as those things are, the church will not grow until each one gets engaged and does what they are called to do. This is specifically what this scripture says and it is God’s plan and design for each local church.
There are large churches where the members are not ministers in their own right - a church can be artificially grown by programs, social activities or gimmicks, but SUPERNATURAL, sustained New Covenant growth comes as each one plugs into the anointing for themselves and begins to operate as a team in the body.
DISCONNECTED INDEPENDENT DISENGAGED VS CONNECTED DEPENDENT ENGAGED
Don’t be an audience, be a participant! Take your place and get involved – whether you get involved in setting up or breaking down after church… or ushering or greeting or many of the areas in need, I believe that Jesus wants you to participate!
Then, when you leave church, minister to others as the Spirit leads – reach out, reach in and reach the unreached. You can minister through social media, by making phone calls or texting prayers and encouraging words – you can minister by making time to visit someone in need… needs are all around us, if we will just be sensitive to the Spirit – at the grocery store, in the parking lot, in our parks… if we will just look and be led, Jesus wants you to be His hand extended.
You can start a bible study, reach out to those in prisons, in nursing homes, the veterans… there are so many in need of Jesus – Jesus said that our calling is to follow His example, to do what He did… to continue His works! Jesus was always observing… when He saw a need, He stepped in and ministered. As you do what He did, I believe that you will begin to be used more and more, just like Jesus was… in signs, miracles and in wonders.
Step out today, you are not an audience, you are an anointed vessel of God that has been made to be used of the Lord! Blessings on you, Nick
