Today’s devotion is from Psalm 119:11

Your Word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.

When we daily plant the Word of God into our hearts, the anointing on the implanted Word destroys the power of sin at it’s root and then goes on to prosper our souls and bring us into a state of total prosperity and well being. James 1:21 tells us to lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to (sozo) prosper, heal, deliver, protect and bless your souls – the prosperity of the soul determines the level of all prosperity (3 John 1:2)

Planting, or hiding the Word in our hearts, or in our inner beings is key!

Psalm 119 is the longest Psalm and the longest chapter in the Bible and with 176 verses. Since this is a Psalm glorifying God and His Word, it refers to Scripture over and over again. The psalm is remarkable for how often it refers to God's written revelation, His Word. It is referred to in almost every verse. At least 171 out of 176 verses in Psalm 119 specifically mention the Word and the other verses and the remaining verses are in the context of the Word. In just the first eleven verses of Psalm 199 the Word is referred to by David (the presumed author) as the law of the Lord, His testimonies, His ways, Your precepts, Your statutes, (2x) Your commandments, (2x) Your righteous judgments and Your Word. 2x)

In Psalm 119, David honors the Word, teaches the Word, and demonstrates how to plant the Word in our hearts through repeated confession, declaration and profession. David lived in the Old Covenant, but used the power of the Word, when planted and activated in a man’s heart to live closer to the New Covenant than any other Old Covenant man.

When a person repeatedly confesses, declares and professes the Word by faith, that living Word gets into our hearts, it gets into our souls and our innermost beings and the anointing and the power of that implanted Word changes us from the inside out! The anointed Word, planted in our hearts births supernatural living, divine authority and miracle Working power – it totally destroys the power of the devil and the power of sin, sickness, demonic oppression, poverty and every work of the devil. The implanted Word brings life, wholeness, peace, joy, strength, power, vision, purpose, excitement and the authority of Jesus on the inside of us.

The more that we plant the Word, the more that we confess it and declare it, the more that we believe it – confession leads to believing, and believing to hope, and hope to faith, and faith to being fully assured, and full assurance to action, and action to supernatural living and total dominion over all of the Work of His hands - Selah

Make this confession of faith and say this out loud with me…

“John 17:17 says that I am sanctified and set apart by Your truth and that Your Word is truth… Your Word absolute truth – the Word is for me to walk in, to accept as final truth and for me to stand on, to declare by faith and for me to do – I am who the Word says that I am - I can do what the Word says I can do - I can be who the Word says I can be - Christ in me can do all things – I can do all things through Christ - I have power over all of the work of the enemy, I have absolute POWER over ALL the Work of the enemy – nothing shall by any means harm me – I have power to raise the dead – I have power to heal the sick – I have power to do the works of Jesus – I have total authority over all of the works of His hands in Jesus Name! – the power and the authority of the creator of all things is on the inside of me – when I speak by faith, I ALWAYS have what I say – As I speak the Word, the Father ALWAYS watches over it to perform it – The Father loves it when I expect Him to ALWAYS perform His EVERY Word! – I always expect the Father to bring to pass every word that I speak according to His Word – God is not a man that He should lie – His Word is literal, His Word is truth and His word is final!”
