Today’s devotion is from Romans 8:30-32 (TPT)
Having determined our destiny ahead of time, He called us to himself and transferred His perfect righteousness to everyone He called. And those who possess His perfect righteousness He co-glorified with His Son! So, what does all this mean? If God has determined to stand with us, tell me, who then could ever stand against us? For God has proved His love by giving us His greatest treasure, the gift of His Son. And since God freely offered Him up as the sacrifice for us all, He certainly won’t withhold from us anything else He has to give.
God is for you, so, who can be against you?
Romans 8:30-32 shows us the many ways that God is for us – He predetermined our destiny, He transferred His righteousness to us, He glorified us with His Son and He gave us the greatest gift that He could ever give, His only begotten Son to pay the price for all sin – the Father has provided everything that we could ever need and will not withhold anything from us – He has done it all, so the question remains, since God is for you, who can be against you? – not the devil or the powers of darkness… they have been disarmed and defeated by Jesus and are now under our feet! Not people… people have no power over our promised destiny in Christ. Not lack… We have supernatural provision and supernatural ability in Christ – so, who can be against us?
The answer is profound – YOU are the only one who can ever be against you and succeed.
You have the power to derail yourself, you have the power to reject God’s promises, you have the power to yield to deception and the defeated powers of darkness – only you can be against you! The enemy knows that he is powerless against us and that all he has is the power of suggestion or temptation – he cannot do anything against us, but he can persuade some to take his bate and to give him place to steal, kill and destroy.
Do not set yourself against yourself, receive all that the Father has done for you and be all that He has made you to be! Don’t ever come in agreement with the devil and his lies, stay in agreement with the Word! Do not ever fear that the devil can take something from you – he can only take what you allow… if you do not allow it, he cannot have it!
The devil cannot take my health, my wealth, my anointing, my gifts, my relationships, my promised destiny or my salvation and I am not going to give him any of those things! Friend, as long as you stay in faith and as long as you stay yielded to the Holy Spirit and as long as you use your authority and be who The Father made you to be in Christ, you will live a blessed life and you will have good success in all you do!
