Today’s devotion is from John 7:37-39 (TPT)
Jesus stood and shouted out to the crowds—“All you thirsty ones, come to me! Come to me and drink! Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!” Jesus was prophesying about the Holy Spirit that believers were being prepared to receive.
John the Baptist said, “I baptize you with water, but One is coming after me that will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.” Jesus emerges us into the Holy Spirit and then He says, “drink!” As we drink, or receive the Holy Spirit and the fire we get saturated with miracle working power – then as we go out, we ‘leak’ miracle working power – we leak rivers of living water that busts forth from within us. As we do, we leave a trail of healings, miracles, signs and wonders behind us – that why the bible says that signs and wonders will follow believers.
