Today’s devotion is from Matthew 9:29-30
Then touched He their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened.
Why do some believers experience victory and break free from bondage and defeat while are others still trapped?
The answer is simple but powerful: THEIR BELIEFS. What you believe is vital to receiving God’s best… Jesus said, “according to your faith be it unto you” or, “What you believe will determine your reality”
You see, if you believe wrong, you will struggle with wrong thoughts. Wrong thoughts will produce unhealthy emotions that will lead to toxic feelings of guilt, shame, condemnation, and fear. Those wrong feelings can ultimately produce wrong thoughts, wrong words, then wrong, unscriptural actions, witch can give place to the devil to steal, kill and destroy.
One of the devil’s biggest targets in our lives is what we believe. He is a master deceiver. Deception was his modus of operandi in the garden of Eden, and it still is.
The devil cannot stop many Christians from believing in God and serving the Lord, so he attempts to pervert their relationship with the Lord by bringing deception and by getting them to believe wrongly, and to wrongly divide the Word as to who God is, how God sees us, who Christ is in us, who we are in Christ, what we can do through Christ and how God runs His Kingdom according to His covenants.
Wrong believing starts you on a path of defeat. It is what keeps you trapped and drives you deeper and deeper into paralyzing captivity. On the other hand, RIGHT BELIEVING, is the door out of EVERY cycle of defeat.
When you believe right, you will live right. Right believing always produces right living…
In Matthew 8:13 Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” Whether you are aware of it or not, what you believe affects how you live your life. What you believe determines how you think, how you perceive a situation, and, ultimately, what course of action you take.
Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to ministers and teachers who have revelation knowledge of the New Covenant and sit under those anointed teachings until your mind is fully renewed. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you His Word according to the New Covenant in Christ. Avoid sitting under teachers that clearly do not understand the New Covenant. As you renew your mind concerning your New Covenant in Christ, you will change the way that you believe and then you will change your destiny.
