At Home in His Presence

Today’s devotion is from John 15:9-10 (MSG)

“I’ve loved you the way my Father has loved me. Make yourselves at home in my love. If you keep my commands, you’ll remain intimately at home in my love. That’s what I’ve done—kept my Father’s commands and made myself at home in His love.” 

I just love this translation out of The Message Bible. The Lord wants you at home in His love. When you think about ‘being at home’ – you know that home is your safe place, you place of rest and it’s an atmosphere where you will not be judged, you can relax, chill, put up your feet and just be yourself. Well, the Lord wants you to be yourself in His Presence. Come to Him as you are.

Come rest in His Love and rest in the peace that only He provides. See yourself resting in the loving arms of the Holy Spirit your Comforter, your Guide, your Teacher.  As you walk in His Word, you will remain in His love. His Word will guide you and lead you into a deeper walk with Him. As you apply His Word in your life, lean on His Words, you’ll be so at home in His Love, that you will never desire to live a life without Him.
