Thank God for His love and mercy. Grace is getting something that you do not deserve, but mercy is not getting what you do deserve. If we had to get what we deserve according to our actions instead of getting what we do not deserve because of the actions of Jesus, we would all be in a lot of trouble.
The love and mercy of God protects us from suffering the consequences of our wrong actions, bad attitudes and the words of death that we speak. Because of His mercy we do not get the bad that we deserve. Thank you Jesus for crop failure to all of the seeds of death that I have ever sown. Thank you Jesus that your mercies are new EVERY morning!
As you meditate on the Love and mercy of the Lord towards you today, please consider showing the same love and mercy towards others. Many people want justice towards others, but mercy towards themselves. Consider forgiving, loving and pouring out mercy towards those that have done you wrong, even though they do not deserve it.
