Today’s devotion is from John 3:16 (AMPC)

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

1 John 4:19  (AMPC)

We love Him, because He first loved us.

How amazing and wonderful to be reminded of how greatly God loves us, of how He first loved us and He dearly prizes us. Even, 2000 years ago, He sent Jesus to be born, and to die on the cross for us, all because of His love for us.

We live and move and have our being each day in the victory He purchased for us.

“Life” was purchased for us, because He first loved us and now, we have Christ living in and through us. Jesus destroyed the works of the enemy, so that we could take our place in the world and live victorious over sin, depression and defeat. His love brought us life.

All you and I had to do was receive His love. You may be going through a storm, but know this, He cares for and loves you. I remember years ago, I was going through a challenge, my heart defeated, I was driving my car through town one day, the Lord spoke to me and reminded me that in spite of what I was going through, His love for me far exceeded the challenge. His Love was greater than my circumstance.

His love is continually there for us – we are on the receiving end of His amazing love for us. We may get busy in our day-to-day life and activities, but when you stop and take time to meditate on Him, you open your heart to receive His eternal love that is continually being poured out towards those who believe.
