WHAT DO YOU SAY?

Today’s devotion is from Matthew 16:13-18 

When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter (Petros) [a chip of a boulder], and on this rock (Petra) [boulder] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

What are you saying? Who do you say that Jesus is? Who do you say that you are?

There is power in the revelation and the confession of Who Jesus is and of who you are in Christ…

When we get a revelation and when we begin to declare Who Christ is and who we are in Christ, we will walk in it and the gates of hell will not prevail. Revelation and confession will always precede effectiveness. It starts with afresh revelation of Who Jesus is and who we are in Christ, then, as we declare it, our words establish what we declare in our lives.

All New Covenant truths start with revelation, then confession, then transformation and then success. Bottom line, you have to realize it, then say it, then be transformed by what you say before you can ever do it! 

It all starts with a fresh revelation of Who Jesus is… 

Jesus is Love personified, He is grace personified, mercy personified, goodness personified and He is the power and anointing of God personified. Everything that Jesus does, everything that He creates, every decision that He makes is made in LOVE.  

He does not teach us through sickness or rejection, He did not cause or allow 9/11 because He was judging America and He does not take babies because He needs more flowers in Heaven. He is a rewarder, not a punisher, He did not come to send us to hell, He came to save up, redeem us, and He came to give us life and life more abundantly. Jesus is not against you, He is for you! 

We are…

Children of the most High God, made in His image and likeness. We are acceptable in the beloved, we are the righteousness of God in Christ. We are Christ-ians (little anointed ones) and we are seated in heavenly places in Christ. We are fully equipped to rule and reign with Him and we have been given all authority in Christ over every work of the devil.

Don’t just believe it, say it! Declare it!

Jesus loves me, Jesus forgives me, Jesus is for me, Jesus is grace and mercy personified and His grace and mercy abound towards me! I have been made acceptable in Christ, I am the righteousness of God in Christ, I can do all things through Christ, I always triumph in Christ, Jesus is a boulder and I am a chip off that boulder. I walk in His anointing, I rule and reign in Him, He works miracles through my hands and the gates of hell shall not prevail against me, in Jesus Name!
