Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

The Lord has a plan, or a path of blessing that has been laid out for every person on the face of the earth. Every person has been fearfully and wonderfully made in His image and has been predestined to rule in this life in grace through Jesus. All of heaven is working to get people onto that predestined path of life, and all of darkness is working to get people to stray away from that path.

Receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior places us on the path, and from that moment on, the Holy Spirit lights up the path (through the Word ‘Psalm 119:105’ and by the leading of the Spirit ‘Psalm 27:1’, opens our eyes to see the path, and strengthens our feet to walk on the path. Life in Christ is not complicated – all we have to do is stay on our predestined path!

Some people complicate things with too many goals, too much planning, too much getting into their heads and too much striving to achieve! Some people are continually coming up with their own plans, instead of just sticking to His plan!

The Lord said to me, “Tell my people that they are making things too complicated, tell them that I have already done all of the hard work, all of the planning, and all of the providing – tell them to enter into My rest, to trust me and to just stay on my path of blessing by grace through faith!”

How do I discern God’s plan for my life? Stay in the Word and be led by the Holy Spirit. Psalm 119:105 says “Your Word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.”
Romans 8:14 says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.” Another way of saying it is, “The Children of God are led by the Holy Spirit”. The Holy Spirit leads you through inner promptings, through peace and joy, through the anointing and by the Word… in other words… does this line up with the Word according to the New Covenant… does it have the anointing on it when I think about it, or visualize it… do I have anointed peace and joy when I consider it, and is the Holy Spirit continually prompting me in that direction?

Just wake up every morning, worship the Lord, stay in the Word, and stay on your path… as you do, you will receive everything that you need on the path… it is that simple… Selah!
