Today’s devotion is from 1 Timothy 6:12 (AMPC)

Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and [for which] you confessed the good confession [of faith] before many witnesses.

The New Living Translation says, ‘Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.’ 

1 Timothy 6:12 is talking about our conversations with others… the things we talk about in the presence of our spouse, our friends and our co-workers. Our words should be ‘good confessions of faith’. Psalm 50:23 says, ‘Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.’ (KJV)

We need to take our thought captive and we need to ORDER our CONVERSATIONS aright and that will result in showing forth the salvation (Healing, provision, protection, deliverance, blessings) of God. We fight the fight of faith with our words and our declarations and with the things that come out of our mouths in front of others… Selah (think on these things)
