Today’s devotion is from Matthew 16:13-18 (TPT)

‘When Jesus came to Caesarea Philippi, He asked his disciples this question: “What are the people saying about Me, the Son of Man? Who do they believe I am?” They answered, “Some are convinced You are John the Baptizer, others say You are Elijah reincarnated, or Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”  “But you—who do you say that I am?” Jesus asked. Simon Peter spoke up and said, “You are the Anointed One, the Son of the living God!” Jesus replied, “You are favored and privileged Simeon, son of Jonah! For you didn’t discover this on your own, but My Father in heaven has supernaturally revealed it to you. I give you the name Peter, a stone. And this truth of Who I am will be the bedrock foundation on which I will build my church—my legislative assembly, and the power of death will not be able to overpower it!'“

Jesus said, “this truth of Who I am will be the bedrock foundation on which I will build my church.” The whole New Covenant is accessed and walked in through our revelation knowledge of WHO Jesus is. A person can be born again, but if that believer does not have supernaturally imparted revelation knowledge of WHO Jesus is, what He has done for them, who they are in Christ, what the mind of Christ is, what His values are or how He operates, that believer will do very little in the kingdom of God!

Jesus was not talking about academic or head knowledge; He was talking about supernaturally revealed and supernaturally imparted revelation knowledge. As we spend time with the Lord with a heart to enquire about Him, He will reveal Himself to us.

Jesus said in John 14:21 “Because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.” The passion Translation says, “Whoever passionately loves me will be passionately loved by my Father. And I will passionately love you in return and will manifest my life within you.”

Those who prioritize seeking the Lord with all of their hearts will find Him and the He will impart a supernatural revelation of Himself to them… not only an insightful revelation, an inward manifestation of Himself and all the He is within us.

As we begin to grow in that revelation of all that He is, we will grow in the gifting’s, the manifestations of the Spirit and the supernatural works of Jesus. We will literally have the keys to heaven’s kingdom realm and the realm of the supernatural. The New Covenant church has been pre-destined to operate in an outflow of this revelation knowledge… again, Jesus said, “this truth of Who I am will be the bedrock foundation on which I will build my church.” Selah…
