Today’s New Covenant nugget is from John 8:31-32
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
New Covenant truth is imparted as we abide in the Word, as we meditate on it and as we receive the implanted Word by faith and walk in it. New Covenant truth is way beyond factual accuracy, New Covenant truth is a person, ‘Jesus’. Jesus is the way, the TRUTH and the life…
The Word is penned by Jesus through the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the creator of all things and He alone is the embodiment of all truth. The values of Jesus, the principles of Jesus, the knowledge of Jesus, the wisdom of Jesus, the integrity of Jesus and the power of truth are all embedded in His Word. Knowing and walking according to that truth is the only way to real freedom. People who do not abide in the Word do not know or value truth…
Something may be factually accurate according to the realities of the world that we live in, but they conflict with real New Covenant truth… The Dr. says you are blind and you can never see again… he is factually accurate in his diagnoses, but the TRUTH is that by the stripes of Jesus we have been healed. Blind eyes are opened and people see again on a daily basis around the world by the power of Jesus!
New Covenant Truth is anointed…
New Covenant truth carries with it the anointing of freedom and liberty. People who have not had their minds renewed and do not have revelation knowledge of the TRUTH according to the Word are not free… true freedom comes as a result of the anointing on New Covenant truth! You shall know the truth, and the (anointing) on the truth that you know (and have a revelation of) shall make you free!
A Revelation of the TRUTH in the New Covenant is loaded with FREEDOM anointing, LIBERTY anointing and bondage destroying anointing, in Jesus Name!
