Today’s New Covenant nugget is from 1 John 2:18-27
18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. 26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
This passage is a prophetic, last day passage… this is a ‘now’ prophetic word for the church!
There is an antichrist spirit that is emerging and attempting to establish it’s agenda in the world today. Jesus has given us a Holy Ghost anointing to overcome, outsmart, outdo and to restrain his agenda. There is a path of safety, blessing and prosperity in this world of darkness, and it is in the anointing as we are led by the Spirit.
AS THE BODY OF CHRIST WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN AUTHORITY TO RESTRAIN THIS ANTICHRIST SPIRIT AND AGENDA.
2 Thessalonians 2:7 says, “The mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.” We the body of Christ are the restrainers. Some say that the Holy Spirit is the restrainer… the Holy Spirit is never going to be taken out of the way, and people will be saved during the time of the antichrist during the tribulation, so, He that restrains is not the Holy Spirit.
Some say that the restrainer is Michael the archangel… contextually this passage talks about the church and our gathering together in Christ in the last days and the timing thereof, nothing is said about Michael the archangel. Nowhere in the New Covenant have angels been given the mandate to restrain the devil, but believers have.
Some say that it cannot be referring to believers because it refers to the restrainer as ‘He’, and that the church is the bride of Christ, therefor a ‘she’. The reality is that there are many metaphors for the church… “members of the household of God, the household of faith, the bride of Christ, the church of the living God, the body of Christ”, and many, many more… the reality is that Jesus has given His church, His body, His kings and priests the authority, the power and the mandate to restrain, to bind, and to defeat the work of the devil on earth… we are the restrainers!
In Luke 10:19, Jesus said, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
It is in His name that we restrain, it is in His authority that we bind and lose, and it is by His anointing that we navigate, overcome, outwit and thrive in these dark times, in spite of the antichrist agenda.
Let’s look at 1 John 2 verse 26-27 again… “These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.”
The Greek word translated as ‘teach’ is ‘didáskō’, literally meaning, ‘to impart instruction, to enlighten, or, to show the way’.
THE ANOINTING IMPARTS INSTRUCTION, ENLIGHTENS AND SHOWS THE WAY.
THE ANOINTING IS DECEPTION PROOF!
THE ANTICHRIST IS A DECEIVING, CONTROLLING SPIRIT…
In the last days some of the very elect will be deceived and fall prey to the antichrist agenda… the anointing is there to enlighten us, to protect us and to empower us to overcome and to expose this deceptive spirit of darkness.
FOLLOWING THE ANOINTING AND BEING LED BY THE SPIRIT IN THESE LAST DAYS IS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH!
The antichrist spirits of darkness are transforming world views, antichrist propaganda is being spread globally, suppression of freedom and elimination of individuality is happening before our eyes. The antichrist agenda is leading to global occupation and control where nobody has rights as individuals, where nobody will be able to choose who they will serve and who they will worship and where every person will be forced to have a microchip in order to buy or sell to survive… the bible calls this the mark of the beast.
Regarding the current C-19 vaccines, and vaccine passports… I am not a scientist and am not in a place to advise you medically, so I am going to resist giving my opinion regarding specific vaccines, but this is my problem with some believers who are receiving vaccinations… many have not prayed about it, or even attempted to be Spirit led. They either have taken actions that are fear based, or they are simply ‘trusting’ the government and the world health organization. I believe that this is a huge mistake. As believers we simply ‘have to’ pray about everything and be Spirit led and anointing led in EVERYTHING.
If not these vaccines, sooner, rather than later deceptive spirits are going to lead gullible, trusting, fear filled people into embracing things that will lead to the mark of the beast… this is a scriptural reality!
BE SPIRIT LED, OR DIE
Romans 8:12-15 (NLT) says, “Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, YOU WILL DIE. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds (the ways, values and leadings) of your sinful nature, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So, you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when He adopted you as His own children. Now we call Him, “Abba, Father.”
If you allow yourself to be led by your flesh, logic, fear, because everybody is doing it, and because of the worldviews of the society that we are living in, YOU WILL DIE!
BE LED BY THE SPIRIT AND LIVE, THRIVE, PROSPER AND OVERCOME!
Romans 8:14 (TPT) says, “The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.”
CONFESSION
“I have the anointing in me, and it teaches me all things. The anointing enlightens me and keeps me on the path of life!
I am led by the Spirit! I will not follow my flesh!
I live in Christ, the Anointed One, and though a thousand may fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, nothing shall by any means harm me!
