Today"‘s New Covenant is from Romans 4:17
As it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations” in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.
Your words literally create your life and your surroundings…
God creates by calling non existent things into existence by His words of faith. We are made in the image of God and, like God, we create with our words of faith, fear, or unbelief. Life and death is literally in the power of your tongue.
In Isaiah 42:9 the Lord says, “Indeed, the former things have come to pass, now I declare new things; before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.”
Here God is saying that before the new things spring forth, they have to be spoken, declared and proclaimed. Jesus said to His disciples, "if you believe what you say, you will have whatever you say."
In Job 22:28 (AMP), it says, “You will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and the light [of God’s favor] will shine upon your ways.” Job was confused and wrong about many things, but he spoke out of revelation knowledge when he said this!
We need to operate in the same way that the Lord created the universe… God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light and then God saw the light. God said, then God saw… God decrees a thing, then it is established.
You may say, “well, that was God, we cannot do that as people”…. actually, as New Covenant believers in Christ, we can and should operate that way. Jesus said, “the works that I do, you shall do also, and greater works…” what did Jesus do? He created the universe by His words; we are created in His image and likeness and now, ‘in Christ’ we get to create by our words as well!
Jesus said in Mark 11:23, “I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Here, Jesus is instructing us how to live by the words that we declare in faith.
When we believe something and then say it, we breathe life into what we are saying. Negatively speaking, if a person says something enough times to where they believe what they are saying, they breathe life into the negative things that they are saying… God calls those ‘words of death’. When we say what the Word says enough times to where we believe what we are saying, we breathe life into what we are saying… God calls those, ‘words of life’.
Your words may not create a universe, but they will create the universe that you live in. They create the world you live in, so decree God’s living Word over your life, your family, your finances and your surroundings and as you do, mountains will begin to move, miracles will begin to happen and God’s will and His promises will begin to manifest, in Jesus Name! Say it until you believe it, and then when you say it, believing it, you will have what you say… that is how words create!
In His amazing love, Nick
