Today’s devotion from Galatians 5:22 AMP

'The fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness….’

What a wonderful season we are living in. We see “Joy“ Christmas signs and ornaments everywhere we go. This is the season where the whole world celebrates the joy of the Lord, even those that don’t know Him as Lord and Savior, enter into a decision to celebrate “JOY”.

Jesus brings a Joy into our lives that is beyond what the world can bring or give. His Spirit, His presence within, brings life-changing inner joy.

Friends, during this season where we are celebrating “joy”, don’t get distracted by the business of life, but take time out of your schedule to just ‘let go’ and let the spirit of Joy rise up within you and go enjoy the fullness of life that only Jesus brings. Sometimes life can get you ‘stuck in a rut’ but in the middle of your rut, go do something that will add a smile, bring laughter and remind yourself today, that you are walking, living and enjoying the Joy of the Lord. If it takes faith to go out to dinner or go do something fun, then use your faith today. Jesus came to bring life. 2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us that we live by Faith. I want to challenge you today, use your faith, step out and go do something “joyous”. Put a smile on your face, break away from your business and go celebrate “life in Christ”
