Today’s devotion is from Ephesians 2:8-9
‘For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.’
Grace and faith work together in the New Covenant. As we learn to operate by grace through faith instead of by our works and with self-dependence we will begin to walk on a new level! Lets break this powerful scripture down…
BY GRACE
New Covenant grace in Christ is unmerited favor towards the Father restored. Favor with the Father is access to all of Heavens blessings. Favor with the Father freely gives us God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense. Jesus paid the price to establish a New Covenant of GRACE based upon His works and not ours. Paul said that because of grace, when he was weak, then he was strong in the strength of the Lord. Favor with the Father means… we never have to fear, lack, fail or fall ever again!
THROUGH FAITH
Faith includes, but is so much more than believing or trusting in God. Faith is a spiritual gift that sees into the realm of the spirit, receives from the realm of the spirit and then moves something from the realm of the spirit into the natural realm. Faith sees the provision in heavenly places that belongs to you in Christ, then faith lays hold of that which has been laid hold of for you (in the realm of the spirit), then faith brings what you have in the realm of the spirit into manifestation. Faith receives what we have access ton in Christ.
WE ARE SAVED – ‘SOZO’…
The Greek word for salvation or saved is ‘SOZO’… It means so much more than being saved from Hell. It literally means saved, healed, protected, delivered, preserved and provided for… so grace and faith work together to bring ‘Sozo’ into manifestation.
GRACE OPERATES BY FAITH, OR FAITH OPERATES GRACE
The key word here is ‘operates’… Grace has to be put to work, not just recognized! Knowing Ephesians 2:8-9 and understanding it will not ignite it, operating according to it is key. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to operate and to live by grace through faith. Ask Him to help you to appropriate grace in every area of your life. Every believer has been given grace and faith, but every believer does not live by it, appropriate it and operate according to it.
RECEIVING GRACE BY FAITH, THEN STEPPING OUT AND OPERATING ACCORDING TO GRACE BY FAITH IS KEY! GRACE HAS TO BE SET IN MOTION IN OUR LIVES!
2 Steps to live by grace through faith…
1. Believe that you receive grace for a particular project, relationship or need. Go to the throne of Grace and receive grace, in Jesus Name! (Grace will immediately give access to the Father’s knowledge, wisdom, ability and provision.) It is like walking into a room filled with treasure and then taking everything that you need.
2. Step out by faith and act on what has been accessed through grace. Begin to move… do what you could not do, start taking baby steps and as you do, your baby steps will turn into big, bold steps and then before you know it, your walking will turn into running!
