Today’s devotion is from Hebrews 10:23-25
‘Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.’
The Passion Translation says, ‘So now we must cling tightly to the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps his promises! Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love. This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing, because we need each other! In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning.’
I do not know the latest statistics, but I am sure that many more believers are out of fellowship and no longer go to church than those who do. This is very sad because they are isolating themselves, they are not there for others, and others are not there for them. We broadcast and live stream our service, but there is no substitute for gathering together, praying together, worshipping together, receiving communion together and receiving the Word together.
The devil wants to divide us and isolate us from people of like faith because he knows that if we ever get together, Hell will be plundered and Heaven will be populated. The devil knows that we are stronger together and weak and vulnerable when separated. Please pray about going to church today. Invite a friend and get connected with some believers of like faith, in Jesus Name!
