Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 92:12-14 (AMP)
(a prophesy about the righteous in Christ)
The righteous WILL FLOURISH like the date palm [long-lived, upright and useful]; they will grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic and stable]. Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. [Growing in grace] THEY WIL THRIVE and bear fruit and prosper in old age; they will flourish and be vital and fresh [rich in trust and love and contentment]
GRACE EQUIPS YOU TO THRIVE!
YOU WERE BORN, EQUIPPED TO SURVIVE, YOU GOT BORN-AGAIN, EQUIPPED TO THRIVE!
You were born with natural ability in your DNA to survive almost every challenge. God gave people incredible ability, amazing brain power and great creative ability so that they could survive in a very challenging, unforgiving world.
When you were BORN-AGAIN into the New Covenant of GRACE, the Father placed supernatural ability in your DNA… the DNA of the new man, enabling you to THRIVE, not merely to survive!
2 Corinthians 8:9 (TPT) says, “For you have experienced THE EXTRAVAGANT GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ, that although He was infinitely rich, He impoverished Himself for our sake, so that by His poverty, we become rich beyond measure.”
The AMPC says, “For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly THE GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).”
AS A BORN AGAIN NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST, YOU ARE FULLY EQUIPPED TO THRIVE FINANCIALLY, PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY, SPIRITUALLY, IN RELATIONSHIPS AND IN ALL AREAS OF LIFE!
THRIVING STARTS WITH SEEING YOURSELF AS GOD SEES YOU! IT STARTS WITH A REVELATION OF WHO YOU ARE AS A BORN-AGAIN BELIEVER
1 Peter 2:9 shows us how God sees us as new creatures in Christ… “You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special (peculiar) people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
The Amplified Bible says, “You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
YOU ARE PECULIAR (A VALUED, UNIQUE PURCHASED TREASURE BELONGING TO THE JESUS.)
CHOSEN TO DO THE WORKS OF JESUS IN HIS NAME!
YOU ARE PART OF A HOLY NATION!
YOU ARE FULLY EQUIPPED TO PROCLAIM AND TO DEMONSTRATE THE DEEDS, VIRTUES AND PERFECTIONS OF JESUS!
HIS LIGHT SHINES THROUGH YOU TO DRIVE OUT DARKNESS WHEREVER YOU GO!
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature (an entirely different species of being): old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
KNOWING WHO YOU ARE IS STEP ONE IN GOING FROM SURVIVING TO THRIVING
GET A REVELATION ON WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST.
START OPERATING AS A NEW CREATURE.
YOU WERE BORN A WORM, YOU WERE BORN-AGAIN A BUTTERFLY… ONE CAN FLY, ALL THE OTHER CAN DO IS CRAWL.
As a new creature in Christ you are fully equipped to thrive in all areas of life! When you got born-again, you became a child of God, with His DNA in you as a new creature! As a born-again new creation in Christ you can do the works of Jesus and even greater by His supernatural power in His Name!
The only limitations that you face are the limitations that you create! You can literally excel and thrive in EVERYTHING that you are called to do as a new creature!
Ask the Spirit to give you a revelation of who you are in Christ, and what you can do through Christ, and get ready to THRIVE, in Jesus Name!
CONFESSION
“Holy Spirit, give me a revelation of who I am as a born-again believer in Christ!
Open my eyes to know that I am a different species of being to who I used to be!
I declare and believe that I have been re-created, purchased, chosen, equipped and empowered to proclaim and to demonstrate the glorious works of Jesus!
I reject the ways, values, priorities and limitations of the old me, and I embrace the values, priorities and unlimited ability of the new me!
I no longer focus on surviving, I THRIVE in all things, by grace through faith, in Jesus Name!”
