Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Isaiah 54:2
Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.
The Passion Translation says, “Increase is coming, so enlarge your tent and add extensions to your dwelling. Hold nothing back! Make the tent ropes longer and the pegs stronger.”
The way that we increase on the outside is to enlarge our capacity on the inside!
If you desire increase in anointing, in success, in finances and in your business, you have to stretch and lengthen your inner cords… growth always takes place on the inside before it manifests on the outside… we have to go deeper before we can go higher.
Tell the Holy Spirit that you are ready to grow, ready to cross the bridges that you refused to cross before, and that you are ready to stretch inwardly!
Inner growth deals with our character, our discipline, our attitudes and going deeper spiritually… it takes saying no to the flesh by grace through faith and being willing to change our ways.
We have to ditch excuses like, “I’m not a morning person… I don’t have time… I can’t do this, I won’t do that… that is not who I am, I am too old, too sick, too weak…” Friend, Jesus loves you just as much whether you grow inwardly or not, but inner growth is required in order to go to the next level!
A tent represents something that we have erected… it represents where we say our limitations are. God respects how big you build your tent, and He will visit you in your tiny tent if that is how you want it! BUT, for those of us that are done with tiny things… tiny anointing, tiny miracles, tiny budgets, and a tiny life that is not living up to its potential, there is a way to expand, but it is going to start in you!
If you are ready to GROW, if you are willing to expand what you are willing to do and how far you are willing to stretch… if you are willing to remove the ‘keep out’ signs in your life, the Holy Spirit is willing to take you places that you have only dreamed of… selah!
