Today’s New Covenant nugget is from 1 Peter 1:8 (TPT)
You love Him passionately although you did not see Him, but through believing in Him you are saturated with an ecstatic joy, indescribably sublime and immersed in glory.
Great FAITH in Jesus, and in His Word will fill you with ecstatic JOY to the point of being totally saturated! When I think of being saturated, I think of a sponge… when you take a dry, shriveled up, hard sponge, and you hold it under water, it begins to soften as it gets saturated… eventually it gets totally saturated to the point where it is soft, pliable, and dripping to the point of overflow! As we soak in the Holy Ghost river of anointed JOY, the ‘JOY anointing’ begins to fill us and saturate us… as the JOY anointing works in our souls, it softens us, and it removes all of the hardness and rigidness to the point where we are able to totally conform to the Master’s hand.
When I think of ‘rigidness’, I get the picture of someone who is set in their ways, unable to change, unable to be corrected, unable to receive from others, and unable to be a team player… it’s ‘their way, or the highway’. They have to always be followed, and have an inability to follow… they even attempt to serve the Lord on their own terms.
The anointed river of JOY takes our all of that rigidness, hardness and all of that inability to yield. As we get SATURATED, we change, and we take on the form of the Master’s hand.
I love how The Passion Translation says, “through believing in Him (through FAITH) you are saturated with an ecstatic joy, indescribably sublime and immersed in glory.” The end result of being saturated by the anointing of joy, is being immersed in glory. The GLORY of God is His MANIFEST presence… so, being immersed in glory is living in the manifest presence of Jesus… in other words, wherever you go, and whatever you are doing, you are always able to discern, see, hear and perceive JESUS.
Romans 15:13 says, ‘Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace AS YOU TRUST IN HIM. (as you walk in FAITH) and may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope!’ - Romans 15:13 (TPT)
May you continually be saturated with ecstatic joy, and may you continually be immersed in His glory in 2022!
