The thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!
HOW MANY BELIEVERS ARE SAVED, BUT LIVING A DEFEATED LIFE?
Israel was saved, they were all healed (not one feeble one among them), they were made strong, they were delivered from slavery and given all of the riches of Egypt, but in spite of all of the miracles, they lived defeated lives, going round the mountain.
THEY WERE NEGATIVE, LIVING THE ‘JUST GET BY LIFE’ IN THE WILDERNESS, ONLY DREAMING ABOUT THEIR INHERITANCE, BUT NOT POSSESSING IT.
HOW MANY SINNERS DO YOU THINK THERE WERE IN ISRAEL? ADULTERERS? SWINDLERS? LIARS? THIEVES?
They all ate lamb and applied the blood… they had the lamb on the inside of them and the blood over them!
HOW MANY OF THOSE WHO ATE THE LAMB AND HAD THE BLOOD OVER THEIR DOORPOST WERE SAVED, DELIVERED, HEALED AND PROSPERED? ALL OF THEM!
ISRAEL WAS SAVED, THEY WERE ALL HEALED AND MADE STRONG, THEY WERE DELIVERED AND GIVEN ALL OF THE RICHES OF EGYPT, BUT YET THEY LIVED DEFEATED LIVES, GOING ROUND THE MOUNTAIN, IN SPITE OF CONTINUAL MIRACLES
JESUS DOES NOT WANT YOU LIVING DEFEATED
His grace has provided all you need for you to live the blessed life!
THERE TWO ASPECTS TO SALVATION AND LIVING THE BLESSED LIFE
The first aspect of salvation is that in the New Covenant all believers are instantly JUSTIFIED, or made righteous as a gift by grace through faith in Jesus. The second aspect is SANCTIFICATION… sanctification, or holiness is a process in which Jesus perfects the lives that we live and disciples and teaches us how to live the abundant life!
JUSTIFICATION = TO BE MADE RIGHTEOUS
SANCTIFICATION = TO BECOME HOLY
The blood of Jesus covers us, and seals our salvation by grace through faith apart from all other things! Then the Holy Spirit works on, and leads us through our sanctification process UNDER the blood.
THE BLOOD JUSTIFIES, AND THEN THE HOLY SPIRIT ENLISTS US IN TO THE PROCESS OF SANCTIFICATION.
WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF SANCTIFICATION?
There are many benefits… less pain in our lives, no place for the devil to deceive us and to put things on us, possessing the mind of Christ which enables us to receive, and much more!
SANCTIFICATION is…
LIVING LIFE AS GOD INTENDED, LIVING FREE FROM THE BONDAGE OF SIN, RENEWING OF THE MIND, THE PROSPERING OF THE SOUL, BEING TRANSFORMED INTO THE IMAGE OF JESUS, AND KNOWING HOW TO RECEIVE WHAT IT TAKES TO DO THE WORKS OF JESUS.
Israel was under the blood, they were saved, (a type and shadow of justification) but they were not sanctified… that is why they suffered with fear, unbelief, bad attitudes and rebellious actions, and that is why they did not, and could not receive their promised inheritance.
JUSTIFICATION IS 100% AFTER RECEIVING JESUS
SANCTIFICATION IS A PROCESS THAT TAKES YOU FROM 0% - 100%
JESUS WAS 100% JUSTIFIED AND 100% SANCTIFIED
As a born-again believer, you are going to Heaven, but if you do not get sanctified, your life on earth will be Hell!
SANCTIFICATION DOES NOT EARN GOD’S BLESSINGS OR PROMISES, BUT SANCTIFICATION ALLOWS YOU, AND ENABLES YOU TO RECEIVE THEM!
GOD GAVE ISRAEL THEIR PROMISE HUNDREDS OF YEARS BEFORE THEY RECEIVED IT
THE WORD SANCTIFIED THEM TO THE POINT WHERE THEY COULD RECEIVE THEIR PROMISE
“SPEAK MY WORD CONTINUALLY, AND MEDITATE UPON IT DAY AND NIGHT AND THEN YOU WILL MAKE YOUR WAY PROSPEROUS AND HAVE GOOD SUCCESS” (JOSHUA 1:8)
John 17:17 (NKJV) says, “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth.”
AN UNSANCTIFIED SOUL (MIND WILL EMOTIONS) CANNOT RECEIVE AND WALK IN WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN…
You will only prosper and be in health as your SOUL (your mind, will and emotions) prosper.
HOW DO YOU GROW IN HOLINESS AND SANCTIFICATION?
YOU DO NOT AND CANNOT SANCTIFY YOURSELF
SANCTIFICATION IS THE FRUIT
JESUS IS THE ROOT
When we get saved, we get ingrafted into Jesus (the Vine), and then as we remain in Him, His life, His anointing, His nature and His ability in us grows and changes us by GRACE, through faith.
TWO ANOINTINGS THAT PRODUCE SANCTIFICATION
THE WORD AND THE SPIRIT…
Jesus uses His Word and the POWER of the Spirit to sanctify us!
2 Thessalonians 2:13 (AMP) says, “But we should and are [morally] obligated [as debtors] always to give thanks to God for you, believers beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through THE SANCTIFYING WORK of the Spirit [that sets you apart for God’s purpose] and by your faith in the truth [of God’s Word that leads you to spiritual maturity].”
THE SPIRIT AND THE WORD BRING TRANSFORMATION TO THOSE THAT RECEIVE IT BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH
YOU HAVE TO USE YOUR FAITH TO RECEIVE TRANSFORMATION BY GRACE!
SPIRIT POWER TO LIVE A HOLY LIFE…
The Bible says that when you speak in tongues, that you edify, or build yourself up… this is part of the sanctifying work of the Spirit. We live Holy lives and are given POWER to be witnesses, or to provide evidence that we are part of Jesus, by living overcoming, pure, and powerful lives by the power of the Holy Spirit!
THE WASHING OF THE WATER OF THE WORD
Ephesians 5:25-27 says, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might SANCTIFY and cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”
Jesus washes your FLESH away through His Word! As you meditate upon His Word, the anointing on the Word transforms you from glory to glory into Him image, sanctifying you, and making you holy like He is!
AS A BELIEVER, YOU ARE SAVED, DELIVERED, HEALED, RIGHTEOUS AND MADE PERFECT IN CHRIST, ALLOW JESUS TO SANCTIFY YOU AND TO MAKE YOU HOLY THROUGH HIS WORD AND BY THE SPIRIT SO THAT YOU CAN RECEIVE AND APPLY WHAT IS NEEDED TO LIVE THE BLESSED LIFE AND TO DO THE WORKS OF JESUS!
CONFESSION
“Jesus, I yield myself to your sanctifying work.
Sanctify me by the power of the Spirit and by your Word.
I receive Your abounding GRACE now for the ability to yield to your work of sanctification in my life.
Jesus, I make room for you, to do whatever you want to do in my life!
Cleanse me, change me, and use me to live as you want me to live, in your precious Name, amen!”
