Today’s New Covenant nugget is from John 10:27
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
In today’s devotion I will be focusing on how the Lord leads and confirms His Word through inner promptings laced with the anointing, peace and joy.
Romans 8:14 (TPT) says, “The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit”. He moves us, speaks to us and confirms His will through the anointing, through gentle inner impulses, promptings and emotions.”
Isaiah 55:12 says, “For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace…” I am not talking about ‘flesh happiness and satisfaction’, I am talking about ANOINTED, ‘Holy Spirit’ generated peace and joy. As you take something before the Lord and ask Him to speak to you, to lead you and to direct you, He will confirm His leading with His anointed peace and overflowing joy… there will be no heaviness attached to it, no fear and no pressure… just pressure free, faith-filled, anointed peace and joy.
If something is according to the New Covenant Word, and you experience inner impulses of anointed peace and joy, together with faith as you think about it… if you are a mature, Spirit-filled believer who regularly spends quality time in the Word and in His presence, then you can trust those inner impulses as His leading and His confirmation!
