Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 14:1 (AMP)
The [spiritually ignorant] fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
Since today is ‘April Fools Day’, I thought that it would be good to meditate on some ‘anti- fool’ scriptures… and, if you have to be considered a fool by having faith in Jesus, be a fool for Jesus… as it says in 1 Corinthians 3:18 (TPT) “Make no mistake about it, if anyone thinks he is wise by the world’s standards, he will be made wiser by being a fool for God!”
Here are some ‘anti-fool’ scriptures for you to think about…
Proverbs 10:8 (AMP) - The wise in heart [are willing to learn so they] will accept and obey commands (instruction), but the babbling fool [who is arrogant and thinks himself wise] will come to ruin.
Proverbs 10:8 (NLT) - The wise are glad to be instructed, but babbling fools fall flat on their faces.
Proverbs 12:15 (AMP) - The way of the [arrogant] fool [who rejects God’s wisdom] is right in his own eyes, but a wise and prudent man is he who listens to counsel.
Proverbs 23:9 - Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, for he will despise the wisdom of your words.
Proverbs 26:11 (TPT) - Fools are famous for repeating their errors, like dogs are known to return to their vomit.
Proverbs 29:11 (TPT) - You can recognize fools by the way they give full vent to their rage and let their words fly! But the wise bite their tongues and hold back all they could say.
Have a blessed day and walk in wisdom, in Jesus Name!
In His amazing love, Nick
