Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Deuteronomy 2:2-3,7
And the Lord spoke to me, saying, “YOU HAVE CIRCLED THIS MOUNTAIN LONG ENOUGH Now GO NORTH. For the Lord your God has blessed you in all that you have done; He has known your wandering through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you; you have not lacked anything.”
SOME PEOPLE’S WHOLE LIVES ARE SPENT, GOING AROUND THE SAME MOUNTAIN!
BY THE GRACE OF GOD, WE WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF AND NOT LACK… EVEN IN THE WILDERNESS AS WE GO ROUND THE MOUNTAIN, WE WILL NOT LACK… BUT NOW IS TIME TO GO NORTH… TO GO ONWARD AND UPWARD, IN JESUS NAME!
ARE YOU READY TO GO NORTH?
There is no formula to stop going around the same mountain, but one thing is for sure… you have to deal with the mountain IN YOU, before you will ever stop going around the mountain in front of you!
The same spirits of darkness that attacked your family for generations before you, are now attacking you! This is not some kind of generational curse, (you are a first generation ‘born-again’ new creature in Christ), these are just spirits of darkness on assignment to kill, steal, and to destroy! They succeeded in some levels against your family before you, now they have set the same traps to capture you.
The mountain in you is the ‘flesh’ part of you that blocks you from receiving God’s best!
Spirits of darkness of slavery, fear, bondage, and low self-image produced a ‘slave mindset’ dominated generations of Israelites for generations… when the Lord set them free from slavery, those same spirits continued to dominate many of them… instead of outward chains, the chains were now on the inside.
As with Israel, if you have chains of bondage on the inside of you that dominate you, you have to deal with that ‘inner mountain’, if you are ever going to get over and beyond the mountain in front of you.
DO NOT CONDEMN YOURSELF! JUST DEAL WITH YOURSELF IN GRACE!
Don’t beat yourself up, or condemn yourself just because you need to be set free from inner bondage, instead, get before the throne of GRACE and mercy, and let the Holy Spirit lead you NORTH! Upward and onward to your promised land!
1. RECEIVE HEALING BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH
Recognize that you need healing and deliverance from an ‘inner mountain’ that awakes your flesh and then blocks you from receiving God’s best, or operating in God’s best for you!
2. SPEAK TO YOUR MOUNTAIN!
Speak to whatever your mountain is… whether it is temper, frustration, fear, lack of self-control (like eating too much of the wrong foods, spending money that you don’t have and getting into debt, or staying up late when you should be sleeping). Whether it is stubbornness, fear of commitment, unforgiveness, or the part of you that always goes into ‘self-destruct mode’… whatever it is, deal with the elephant in the room! Deal with the inner mountain… speak to it! Command it to be plucked up, and to be cast into the sea!
SPEAK AND COMMAND THE SPIRITS OF DARKNESS THAT CONTROL YOUR FLESH… COMMAND THEM TO BE REMOVED, AND CAST INTO THE SEA! GET VIOLENT, TAKE AUTHORITY, AND CAST THEM OUT!
ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT TO REVEAL YOUR MOUNTAIN TO YOU, AND THEN USE YOUR FAITH TO GET RID OF IT, IN JESUS NAME!
3. THE OLD MAN MUST DIE! THE MOUNTAIN MUST BE REMOVED! THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM MUST BE PUT TO DEATH!
It’s time for a funeral service…
Deuteronomy 2:14-18 says, “Now the time that it took for us to come from Kadesh-barnea until we crossed over the Wadi Zered was thirty-eight years, UNTIL ALL THE GENERATION OF THE MEN OF WAR PERISHED from WITHIN the camp, just as the Lord had sworn to them. Indeed, the hand of the Lord was against them, to destroy them FROM WITHIN the camp until they all perished. “So, it came about, when all the men of war had finally perished from among the people, that the Lord spoke to me, saying, “Today you shall cross over…”
These ‘men of war’ represent the mountain that I am talking about! These men refused to cross over into the promised land… they maintained their slave mindsets, they were dominated by fear and unbelief, and they would rather be slaves than step out IN FAITH and live as free men! These men blocked all of Israel from receiving their promise. All of them HAD TO DIE before Israel could cross over. The mountain has to go! The elephant in the room has to die, and the FLESH men of war, that give place to the devil have to be put to death!
4. SPEAK THE WORD OVER YOURSELF
Find scriptures and declare LIFE over yourself… just like the children of Israel declared the Word over themselves day and night… speak the realities of your NEW YOU over yourself, and into yourself, until your mind is renewed, and you realize who you are in Christ!
5. GO NORTH BY GRACE, THROUGH FAITH!
DETERMINE THAT YOU ARE WALKING AWAY FROM THE INNER MOUNTAIN, AND NEVER LOOKING BACK.
CONFESSION
“I have circled round this mountain long enough!
It is time to go north!
I will go where I have not gone before, and do what I have not done before by grace, through faith!
I put to death the old man of the flesh, never to yield to its bondage, in Jesus Name!
Starting right now, I am heading north, by grace, through faith, in Jesus Name, so help me God!”
